There's a barrier in between the way when you try to turn right at this point under the other road( please see the scenario considering this topographic map not Google map) You might be confused with one thing which is....... Actually this topographical map is nothing to do with the Google maps.... Google maps might allow one thing but this map might not..... As in this case, it is very clear... TFL IS ONLY CONCERNED WITH THESE INTERACTIVE TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS. Yes IF the map says you can do it ...so you can do it. Even if in real life you may not be able to.... So here in this map, there is a barrier in between the way so you can't turn right (AGAIN I am repeating that it is according to this map and we have to follow this map not the Google map)... ACTUALLY ,In reality you may be able to turn right but we have to follow this map here.........Also there is one common sense polite question....In Exam, you would not be able to use Google map and if you do not live or ever pass by the road on the map, how would you then know that it was open, closed or one way or something else? So Always follow and see what map is saying and draw the route accordingly even it's not possible in the real life. Actually, There are a lot of scenarios in this topographical map where you cannot turn right and sometimes towards left in this map while, in real life you could do so. Actually they are testing you with your ability to draw the route only with this topographical map. So you have to draw the map exactly what this map says even if you could not do in the real life. Conversely, there are also some scenarios in this topographical map in which you could go through routes(i.e you could turn left or right) while, in a real life you cannot do so. So actually, they are checking the student's ability to read this topographical map only. Regarding route planning, this topographical map is nothing to do with Google map and also in some cases with real life scenarios. I know some people who got the training during which they were told that they could turn right here. In addition to this and due to some other errors, they failed..... So please be careful. Thanks.
There is a continuous line on the road in this map so how could you go right without losing your marks? You need to pay attention at how this map is, not at how you actually drive in reality. Just like they say road x is closed etc. those roads are not closed in reality if that makes sense
