I just started printing in a dark room when I added an enlarger to my basement.
I got into photography in late 2019 , and I haven’t gone a day without shooting since. It has captured me.
I was first shooting digital, and editing in a tablet. But then I saw videos on film and darkroom. Being someone who grew up drawing and painting, I was smitten by actually working physically with my art and my materials.
Thanks for sharing your stories and your work, as well as your knowledge. Be well out there.

You’re one of my biggest inspirations John. At 52 you inspired me to take up the responsibility of showing our world through the lens for our children to enjoy in the future. Thank you for your enthusiasm and generosity to share your knowledge and wisdom. Your suggestion to “practice” has made me a better photographer, your humour makes me smile and your approach to photography has become an example for me of how to go about taking pictures. Hey Chris Thank you. At 78 you have inspired me to keep making videos about what I do and what you can do. This photography game is a good game. Always a product for others to enjoy and learn from. The photos I try to make are my love letters to photography itself and a gift of friendship for the world to see.

I cannot wait to have my own darkroom once im done studying and will move into my own place in the following years. As a young person currently trying to train my muscles for manual focus, this photograph truly impresses me. The fall-off is pretty substantial so I'm guessing the zone of focus was not. I get the feeling John did not dally and chance wasting Robert's time searching for focus. Really makes John's points about "practice" come full circle. I would be kept up at night if I missed a shot like this and ended up with a soft Frank. Better pick up my camera tonight and do some exercises.
