Absolute Legend!! Thanks so much!
Really appreciate it.
The hero we never ask for
the hero that we dont deserve. thanks!
Watching you two having fun talking watches is one of the highlights of every month. Keep this segment going.
Thank you my friend, that means a lot coming from you!
Stay safe and well fratello.
Best regards,
TGV
The episode was surprisingly brief, it seemed. THAT is the sign of quality content, and sincere interaction. These guys are a great match; I'm going to ask my wife if I can have a watch-buddy, too.
Excellent name!
My favorite time of the month is here!
Whoa, fancy seeing you here! Do you immediately toss watch boxes over your shoulder as well, or is that exclusive to microphones?
What kind of watch does the mic man use? something sturdy for when a box gets chucked i assume.
instablaster.
Ah, time to relax and hear my two favourite watch guys passionately discuss chronographs ☺️
Thank you Guy!
Best regards,
TGV
I'm giving a shout-out on the TGV editing. It's something I think we take for granted, but a brilliant element of the special sauce that keeps us coming back for more!
Since my father passed away because of covid a month ago, every time i watch your videos i feel some kind of relief, he was a watch enthusiast just like me and my grandfather. Now i own a vintage rolex datejust from the 80s (grandfather's) and a rare vintage rolex oysterquartz (father's). I remember learning from my grandfather how to set a clock using the WWVB radio signal from colorado while living in mexico! Gotta keep the good watch taste going for the future family generations! Thanks TGV. Greetings from Mexico.
Idk if you’ll see this lol, but actually a few years ago we were at an Indy car race and Mario was in his race team tent, and my sister ran up to the fence this and said “Mr Andretti!!! My brother is with me and he’d love to get your autograph!!!!!” Mario, being the awesome human he is, waved us through the crowd so I could get a picture with him, I have a white Indy car model so the drivers could sign it, and of course I had to get Mario’s signature right across the nose in bright red so it stood out, he’s an amazing human!!! And it made my lifeeee meeting him like that
Best couple in a history of Internet !!!!!!!!
Absolutely!
That’s true
Love that these collabs have turned into a series! Always a joy to watch!
I'm in my 50's and a huge Formula 1 fan and Mario Andretti was my first F1 hero, so I own an older version of the Yema Rally Graph Mario Andretti version and I love it. It's so comfortable and it came with a leather and rubber racing strap. The rubber strap is the best rubber strap I have ever come across.
Hands down, Poljot Strela. It's reasonably priced, has awesome heritage and a unique and utterly beautiful look.
Greetings from Germany, your videos always make my day.
Agreed.
And if you can get one with the 3133 mov't (as opposed to the ST19), even better.
Absolutely bullet proof. Heritage better than any chronograph (barr the sᴘᴇᴇᴅɪᴇ).
On Poljot24 he still has a limited edition with the last batch of 3133, and a couple, more practical, design changes ( date at 6 ; 20mm lug widths..). I got one, a beauty.
I got up to 62hours power reserve with it, crazy.
This was a absolute pearler TGV. All the genuine laughs were great for the soul. Thank you and keep up the collabs 👏
Love seeing you guys work together. Two of my favorite watch people from two of my favorite RUclips channels. If you're thinking about looking at Citizen again, I highly recommend one of the PCATs (Mine is an AT4004-52e, and I just love it). Incredibly versatile watch for the price.
Great video. I have the Solar Orient Neo70s and it's a fantastic watch. Tough, waterproof, looks amazing especially on a rally strap.
One small correction to what Marc said - yes, Orient uses in house movements for pretty much all their watches. This is the exception - it's thought to be a Seiko V175 solar mecha-quartz movement, so in-group but not in-house. I actually learnt how to re-zero the subdial hands on it from a video Marc did with another V175 watch.
Episode idea: Top 10 watches to buy while visiting Europe/Asia that are not available in the U.S.
And the other way around.
Thank you for the great entertaining watch discussion! I have really enjoyed it! 👍🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️
I'm wearing that exact Citizen World Time Chrono Blue Angels watch right now and I love it! Glad it's getting the recognition that it deserves! During "Black November" Amazon regularly had them on sale for mid-$200 range when I got this one. It was a steal!
This has got to be my favourite watch series of late! Amazing stuff!
Always a pleasure to hear the banter between TGV and Marc, I always learn something new as well. Keep it going guys. It's odd how many watches I've owned or seen over the years that have cropped up during the previous videos have been mentioned over the last many months.
Love the watch choices. Another great vid gents, loving the chemistry between you two.
When I start my channel and have the odd watch chat with people, I hope to find people with as much passion, humour and knowledge that you both have. Take care and stay safe.
I really look forward to these videos with you and Marc, its like watching a horological buddy movie!
Love your channels separately and love when you two pair up!
Thanks for the content gents!
Love this series. TGV, please put all this videos with Marc into one playlist on your channel, so it's easier to look for them. Thanks for you work guys!
I was super lucky to meet Mario Andretti back when I was working at a restaurant. (High end steakhouse) He's such a friendly man, and a childhood hero of mine.
I’m so glad you guys did these collaborations ! Great to hear both of your thoughts.
Thanks for mentioning the “Citizen Blue Angels” would be great to see a more detailed review on this one
I love my Christopher Ward watches. The finishing is great, the sizing and fit are perfect. The C65 Trident GMT is my favorite watch I've owned. That green dialed chrono is nice looking.
I too love my Christopher Wards and own four of them. Unfortunately, two have had to be returned for repair and a further one will be returned imminently for repair. This is disappointing because they all punch well above their weight for looks and finish.
A rainy day in Songdo during an Incheon layover. A cup of coffe and this video. Perfect! Thanks guys! Your enthusiasm and chemistry is palpable.
This is the perfect video for my Sunday, I've been looking around for an affordable Chrono
This collaboration is fantastic! Great to be immersed in such engaging, fun conversation - I am very grateful! 👌👍
The styles of the two of you are so different, but you match so well, and you have so much fun! I'm lovin 'it!
Two of the most likeable lads on RUclips. Keep this series going. Love it.
Great episode, great fun. A spot of lsunlight a dull world. Cheers 👍🏻🏴
Having a great moment watching you guys. Hemel looks fantastic. Cannot wait for the next episode.
What a fun video, I love it. Great choices too, that Citizen Blue Angels is on my list for sure.
YESSS more of what the people want, I always look for your granddad everytime I see your intros.
An Original Gent if there has ever been one😂
Jerry and Dean you guys have an unbelievable almost magical chemistry! So much fun to watch and combined with the knowledge is really unparalleled in the watch community.
So enjoy your work together. Makes watching a real pleasure. Thank you 😊
Always a treat when you post a video
I’m so glad to see this video it genuinely makes my 25th birthday together, love you and Mark and keep up the good work!
Happy birthday!!!! I celebrated mine yesterday.
Thank you and I hope you had a wonderful day.
Best regards,
TGV
The Urban Gentry, I'm not sure if anyone has ever told you, but you remind me FALCO singer.
Rock me Amadeus! Lol
My girlfriend thinks he looks like Dieter Sprockets from SNL ... unfortunately, I can't un-see it.
Haha,I literally just asked if it was me or if anyone else thinks he looks like he'd be a good movie double for William Defoe.lmfao.idk to me he looks soo much like Defoe but that my own opinion.
I get small glimpses of di caprio. If I'm being honest.
Wow, Vienna calling. This is so true, he really does.
I don't own a chronograph so this could prove to be very helpful.
I love how you two have so much fun when you do these.
Thanks for mentioning Edifice, I have had a red bull version for about 8 years and love it. Great work as usual.
Keep em coming! Excited for the field watch episode!
The highlight of my long week at work. I really enjoy listening to you to gentleman. Great rapport and greater banter. Keep going on- more 🏆
Absolutely love these vids..always new stuff to find out about 😁👍
I was wondering what i was going to do for the next hour.. and now i know! You guys rule.
Thanks guys for another very entertaining episode.
And a nice selection of watches to boot!
That Dan Henry chronograph, stunning!
Might pick that one up.
Great list once again and a few surprises in there ... CW and Hemel are amazing! Keep this going!
Great vid as always. Not tired of the two of you yet. Keep them coming.
That was an interesting review, nice to see the quartz get a mention, both Seiko and Miyota make the 4 beat chronograph which is a great feature
Great video As usual! Always a pleasure this series with Mark!
A wonderful hour guys relaxed, funny and informative - superb, only own one chrono so now jazzed to get another!
Marc and TGV doing these videos have cured my depression, keep up the great work gentlemen!
Incredible review video with so much background information. Thank you very much. Again 😉
Exactly the video I was waiting for, thanks TGV !
Thanks gentlemen since I was a young lad I have always loved watches but recently I have rediscovered this passion. I’m a huge fan and literally now spend so much time watching your videos.😉 Thanks for putting me on to such amazing affordable watches (Christopher Ward, Yema, Hemel, Dan Henry etc…) It’s time to go shopping 🙂 TGV rocks the house!
Love this Series. You guys are always awesome. Also very nice JDM Orient. Thanks Mark.
Fantastic show chap's looking forward to the next show and keep up the work 👍👍👍👍
I love these. I can't believe I watched 58:10 straight through. Thanks for the great work, TGV and Marc! Needs moar Hugo!!!
Always entertaining! Looking forward to next month. Thank you.
Great idea for a video, you guys work very well together, always enjoyable content
2 of my favorite RUclips personalities/ watch enthusiasts.
These videos are a treat 👍
I love the Citizen dialogue. I have many Eco-Drive watches and spend a lot of summer time in the water. The Citizen Pro Master dive watches have never failed me. Love the Eco-Drive movement
Love the clear honesty about the seagull movements. In every industry there is a LOT happening on the background that consumers rarely know. Good to get some insights now and then.
i love this style of video with marc very very informative and entertaining , keep it up TGV
The BEST video you two have ever done…. Really loved it!
This was a great video. Loved the different options especially the chris ward chrono. I would have gone with a seagull 1963 because it offers a lot for the money. Either way great video. Keep them coming 😉
Yesssss! Another one. Keep em coming TGV!
I can listen to these two guys for hours. My best go-2-guys for watches.
Thank you both of you for sharing your thoughts, experience, knowledge and passion.
Great video as always gentlemen, keep them coming.
Fantastically well done, TGV! You as well, Marc! I thought that I was going to make it out of this video unscathed, but no...I am afflicted yet again with the desire to purchase another piece off of your videos. While I agree with you regarding the Flighty, the Citizen EcoDrive chronos, the DanHenry1972 (newest aquisition).....I think the Hemel or Boolohvah (sorry had to - Bulova) Lunar Pilot maybe next. Thanks for such fantastic work. Onwards and upwards, my friend!
That Hemel ROCKS!
Another mind boggling session with you and Marc.... Oh this is so good..👍 Hope to see a similar session on Swiss made watches
The general public are much more logical than watch enthusiasts, hence the larger sales numbers of Citizen and Casio solar-powered quartz watches. The number whispering is hilarious.
So true. Mechanical watches are dead to me now 🤪
@@RichardsModellingAdventures I find there is a relatability element of mechanical, we work similarly with our heart there is timing control with the heart and watch
@@oscarosullivan4513 I don't feel this way at all now, but can relate to it. I still own some mechanicals. I tend to buy a watch based on build quality, durability and aesthetics. Now we have quartz, mechanical watches make no practical sense in the real world.
Sry but I still prefer mechanical and automatic watches.granted they tend to cost more but I haven't had one of those ever flat out stop working.so far I've got 2 quartz watchs(one with Ronda 715 and other has Ronda 515gmt movement)that stopped working.actually waiting to receive new movements for them so I can get them working again to sell them.been learning how to service my own movements as well so that may have something to do with me preferring mechanicals and automatics as well.
@@oscarosullivan4513That viewpoint never resonated with me. Mechanical watches are powered by a coiled spring releasing potential energy. That has almost nothing in common with a biological pumping muscle which is consuming chemical energy.
Great, I only put this on in the background as it was a YT recommendation type thing, now I find myself wanting 4 new Chronos. New sub ! Cheers.
These are literally my favorite types of videos!
Another great collaboration and review TGV... Love these... I respect the choices you two made, great affordable and durable time peices. I own several of these. My favorite? My Navihawk...😉 Until next month my friend, be safe and be well. Best wishes to your family. Cheers! O/U 🥃
Honestly! I am so happy that the “adventure with watchbox” is over!
I really like this urban gentry style of reporting! Great to see that Mark is also involved:)
Funny to see I own several watches in this video! Amongst others the Bulova which is way too underrated imo esp since its link to space (45:28). I also own the Seagull 1963 (16:58) in its historic configuration (small size an acrylic glass)
I received my Hemel Airfoil about a week ago and it has been on my wrist everyday. It is an amazing, affordable and obtainable chrono. I placed the order through Long Island Watch and it arrived well before my estimated delivery date. All in all a very satisfying purchase!
Damn good vibes as always love you guys a ton. Keep up the good conversations! Cheers!
Well done TGV,as always!
Great...thanks for take time with my favs..Ctitizen soon i will add the diver promaster to my collection.....the eternal fight Seiko vs Citizen........
Thanks for another great video. Can't wait for the field watch episode. I still love my old Victorinox 241494. Thanks again.
It is so nice to hang out with these guys - CHEERS, gents!
Hi TGV
Always a pleasure watching the two of you😊
Like Marc’s Seiko at the beginning and your choice of the Bulova Moon watch. The Christopher Ward’s are magnificent too, as always...
Thanks for bringing up chronographs. Good idea with GMT’s for next month. A video with complications meant to kill someone would off cause be equally interesting. Don’t forget that a subdued function when it comes to that could be the service costs for some watches😂
Keep up the good work👍
New to watch collecting. Love your channel! Thanks!
These video's are great! By far the best collaboration of wrist watch enthousiasts on RUclips.
I would like to mention Tissot. They offer some great quartz chronographs in the sub $500 price range.
Keep up the good work gents and I'll be looking forward to the next one!
Regards,
Koen
Thank you so much Koen :D
Tissot deffo my number 6!!! Outstanding suggestion!
Best regards,
TGV
Auto like. Perfect Sunday evening listening / viewing with a toasted crumpet :)
This collaboration thing has drawn me back to the channel. The whole Bulova thing genuinely had me laughing out loud. Please keep it up.
Well done, Gents. Thanks, as always.
Wearing my Bulova Lunar Pilot as I watch this. Superb watch.
Victorinox have some great offerings that can be had in this range as well. Cheers!
Man, I cracked up when you guys started with the pronunciations. Completely lost it with mozzarella. This is so fun
I went out and bought the Seiko Arnie after watching your video. Absolutely beautiful tool watch. Thanks again. 😍😍😍
For a very subtle Racing styled Chronograph, after a few months of research i decided on the Straton Classic Driver, TGV has reviewed some Straton watches previously. Got it 5 months ago and i'm in love with it, elegant design, good lume, panda face, and well under $500, recommend it 100%!
I own the Lunar chrono and the hesalite speedy!! Love em both. Great video!
Always fun , pro , a lot of info = history and good mood
Great information guy's and fun too. And now I want to find that Orient chrono...
