I couldn't tell what was your first method to determine which rod was bad. The second method was simple enough. My local dealer said they'd have to drop the oil pan (for $700) to determine if it was a bad rod! I sent them this video.
@@KevinVinny713 It doesn’t. I had just got my car and thought the noise was a loose timing belt tensioner or something but it’s just my motor going out.🤣
That is what I need for mine as well. Im planning on just rebuilding the whole bottom end on mine. It also needs a new head as well and just about every thing else.
A new block at the junk yard is 300. And a complete JDM engine is 700 with everything included plus they are low miles. All you need to change is the intake manifold because the one from japan has the throttle body on the opposite way.

I believe unplugging the connector for the coil, so the particular cylinder doesn't ignite reducing the noise if it that one.
I fixed my knocking d17 . It was a main bearing
How’s the car been so far? I’m doing a whole engine rebuild starting with the crankshaft, new rods pistons bearings everything
@@kevinmejia8082hows that going? Im stuck between building my d17 or just throwing a kseries in my em2
@@Icarus.2 car ended up overheating and I just got rid of it lol. I’m in a 16 accord touring the v6 has changed my life ngl
6 years later, you could have done them in pairs. Cylinders 1 and 4 and 2 and 3. No need to turn the crank as many times
Is your engine still somewhat save able after that if you change the camshaft and the bearings
Dang mine doesn’t sound as loud but likely the same area of noise as mine since I just got a new timing belt.
What’s does the timing belt have to do with it?

Bru... Watchy videos? What happened? Did you fix it?

Sorry for taking so long to make a comment, but I sold the fooken Car... Don't have time for that shit...
Just get a new Motor of Sell it, Not worth Fixing...
Ever get it fixed? Did a bearing replacement work or did you have to re do the engine
So i need a new motor
