I fucking called it since the start of MSI this is Chovy's year. They finally made it to an international finals and they only have to win it now, which seems very likely. This guy's gameplay just keeps looking better every year and call this glazing but it's just true. Not even being target banned like hell stops him from popping off.
The ones who follow Chovy since 2020 at least know how his style has changed and we all know that this year in the LCK Spring Season he didn't look as LANE DOMINANT as other years by solokilling and hyper-gapping in CS but he's been clutch and more of a supportive midlaner for his team while maintaining advantage in his lane.

Honestly, this shows the biggest difference between T1 and Geng. Ofcourse Chovy is performing exceptionally well this MSI, but if 5 mid champions are banned, GenG can still function with Chovy on a relatively weaker pick. If 5 mid champs are banned against Faker, T1 literally falls apart without him. T1 is too reliant on Faker compared to GenG who have people in every role that seems to perform no matter what.

@@qGodshe is not the reason they lost. Although he made some mistakes its mostly him who makes the clutch plays. I think all the guy was saying is that its easier to ban faker out, which makes t1 a lot weaker as a team when faker is not playing one of his mains.
@jonaslauschensky1964 the only reason they ban out Faker is because the rest of the team is mediocre without him. You can't use the argument that banning out chovy is because he's good, and banning out Faker is because he's easily targetable. BLG players themselves said otherwise. Not to mention Keria gets his ashe banned every game aswell. They're just banning out the most impactful player on T1, and without it, the rest of the players don't perform. Even with 5 bans, Faker was performing well on Akali

Knight is so insecure that he requires like 30 bans in 8 matches against Korean mid players.... Knight is the most overrated and overhyped OTP, and his OTP performance in game one or at MSI at all wasn't even good. He gets hard carried every game. Last years MSI it was Kanavi and Ruler. They lost worlds because of Knight not being able to play more than 1 champion. He will never be the best mid if he continues like this.

During the T1 v TL series, dom talked about how teams can play tight vs loose, and how that style a) shows their confidence and b) frames their tempo. I think Gen G’s biggest problem over the last few years is how tight they play; how scared they are to try anything unusual or make a mistake. Canyon has really turned that around and they’re playing with so much more pep.

They tried to do the thing they did vs Faker, thing is, it works versus Faker because he literally can't even survive lane without them while Chovy will just pull out another pick and play well with it. You don't try to ban out good players, you ban the worst ones and prey on them.
only cuz faker can't play this champs or his team just malfunctions without him on different champs. He is also not in form maybe due to injury. But faker always has the most champ pool aout of all.

Remember T1 without Faker just last year? Remember who won worlds last year after shaky play off when Faker returned? Faker has to deal with a lot and not just laning and farming minions, besides, Faker has nothing to prove to anyone, his success for a decade speaks more louder than his haters hate.
Also, People blame Peanut and Doran for Chovy failure and praise Kinn and Canyon for making Choky into Chovy. It's not just Chovy that won them the game, Canyon is the real MVP.

No no. Theo problem with T1 right now is neither draft or lane-swapping meta. I think the big problem is them easily getting targeted by skill-shots. Let's recall, it was not easily for Faker to frequently get ganked right? And they just keep getting poked or caught on the edge of teamfight. He was not so strong in team fights except his R it was really useful. but in the laning phase Yone is Unkillable. FFW + Doran Shields and it is impossible to put him out of the lane.
@@theghost9219 A feed yone will be useless in team fights and a Fed will be more useful in teamfights. As is every champions in the game. But to say Yone is weak overall in team fights it just wrong. He can use hit and run tactics easily which forces enemy to disengage and enemy displacement. If you don't have an objective or goal of course you will fail, it depends on what you are trying to achieve. I agree that during laning phase, Yone is unkillable.

Targeting the strongest player in league seems dumb cause they will always have more champs. If people would target the least flexible player it makes draft harder and the team not nearly as strong.
Its not all that easy to target ban a player. You cant forget you're also banning your own player of the same role. I think they did this bc knight cant play azir/asol/corki and other backline mages very well anyways (so you're banning stuff you cant pick anyways)

Say whatever you want, but here is my take on MSI. None of the teams are in their peak form(with current rosters) other than GenG and G2, so stop comparing players to each other from teams, in-form players will always do better than their lane opponents. Knight vs Chovy was just that this series, Knight was nowhere near his peak capabilities, no aggression, nothing, when Knight was one of the most aggressive pro midlaners ever. Not a fair fight, but lifting a trophy isn't always about fighting fair, the team with the momentum and form always has an edge.
