    What is tidal friction.

    • @MagnetBrainsEducation
      @MagnetBrainsEducation  2 года назад

      Hi there, great question! Tidal friction is the force that is created when two celestial bodies are interacting with one another and their gravitational forces are trying to pull one another closer. Thanks for watching our educational video!

    Sir,
    How rotation and tidal friction will generate heat in the interior of the earth?

    • @puneetmalik6910
      @puneetmalik6910 3 года назад +6

      Tidal force leads to the bulge in ocean waters(in the form of ocean tides) and also made our solid earth to bulge slightly in the similar way. This flexing of our earth(both solid body and oceans) creates friction to the rotation of the earth due which we have loss of energy. This energy goes into heat leading to little increase in temperature inside the earth. Due to this loss of rotational energy our earth is slowing down in its rotational speed at a rate of 0.002 seconds per century(100 years).

    • @gshri3837
      @gshri3837 3 года назад +2

      Here it means , like we see how high mountains are (6k-8k m) but in epirogenic we have example of our gangatic plain , they are around 2km deep syncline. So in epirogenic their we can say it has simple deformation.
