Permacultura qué es. Introducción a la Permacultura. Definición
Permacultura es un sistema de diseño para la creación de medioambientes humanos sostenibles. La palabra en sí misma es una contracción no sólo de agricultura permanente sino también de cultura permanente, pues las culturas no pueden sobrevivir por mucho tiempo sin una base agricultural sostenible y una ética del uso de la tierra. En un nivel, la permacultura trata con plantas, animales, construcciones e infraestructuras (agua, energía, comunicaciones). Sin embargo, la permacultura no trata acerca de estos elementos en sí mismos, sino sobre las relaciones que podemos crear entre ellos por la forma en que los ubicamos en el paisaje.
El foco es crear sistemas que son ecológicamente correspondientes y económicamente viables, que provean para sus propias necesidades, no exploten o contaminen y que sean sostenibles a largo plazo. La Permacultura utiliza las cualidades inherentes de las plantas, y los animales combinadas con las características naturales del paisaje y las estructuras para producir un sistema que soporte la vida para la ciudad y el campo, utilizando la menor área práctica posible.
La Permacultura está basada en la observación de los sistemas naturales, la sabiduría contenida en los sistemas tradicionales de las granjas y el conocimiento científico moderno y la tecnología. Basado en modelos ecológicos, la Permacultura crea una ecología cultivada, la cual está diseñada para producir más alimento para humanos y animales que lo que generalmente se encuentra en la naturaleza...
