All that metal hanging off the back makes me think of the James Bond villain "Jaws"......
Great build, almost ready for the “bathtub test” 😊 Really like how you solder the flex shaft where it goes into the collet on the motor shaft, for solder joints that are subjected to high heat, like on the esc connectors 95/5 solder has a much higher melting point than the more traditional solders have. 👍🏻
That solder crucible has about 5 or 6 different soldiers in it 🤔 it's a hodge podge

Great video and boat. One suggestion however is to epoxy in only the motor brackets (with the motors attached for alignment). That way you can remove a motor conventionally by just undoing the bracket to motor screws. Might be better cooling for the motors that way also so air can get to the entire circumference. Just a thought.

Freakin did it again. Awesome video. Don't ever apologize for a long video. If they don't like it they don't belong in the boat gang. Next, i like my cable tube to go commando also. I'm waiting to see how the rudder reacts to those props. I think they should be outward rotating but it will be interesting to see what happens...a cliffhanger 😮. Thanks big b... bg4l

Itll turn better if you run outward rotating. I'm going to convert mine back to outward bc I hated the steering characteristics
Great video bud. Just some constructive criticism..maybe show how you make the steering bends. I use a notched pair of pliers.
Thanks, I edited it out because of the video length, I just used regular needle nose pliers to make the bend.

Found my rudder forward means the boat is tighter in the water, behind the props the boat gets looser.
That rudder is the only thing I'm worried about with this build, got my fingers crossed! Praying she handles 👍 okay

Awesome work as usual. Question though, when you cut the shaft, what did you use to cut? It? Was it the same cutting wheel that you used for making the flat spot on the drive dog area of the stubshaft

@ironcladrc have you replaced the hatch screw inserts on a Sonicwake? I just had 2 go bad and can’t figure out a good solution

@@IRONCLADRCI got the screws, I can’t find the inserts in the hull. It appears they don’t want you to replace them.
