I just love to think of what's going through Oryx's head during this whole fight. Here's a literal God who killed one of his own Gods, laid waste to countless civilizations, and can directly tap into the manifestation of all evil in the universe.
And then here comes a tiny little Warlock who just won't stay dead no matter how many times he's put down, can demolish his forces while fighting him, and goes about killing him as well. To top it off, the last thing the infamous Taken King sees as he slowly fades away is the little fuck who did it all dancing like a jackass on his throne like it was no big deal.

Haven't paid any attention to Destiny since it came out, have to say this looks a lot more interesting than it did at the start.
This is the end game content, meant for a fireteam of 6. (And most teams of 6 struggle)

+Raphyr yeah, if your group is coordinated, it looks mostly similar but just from 6 viewpoints. The content void that vanilla destiny had has been filled in and improved a lot since taken king came out. Destiny's definitely getting there. I quit year 1 after the first expansion, but now thar I'm back I'm enjoying it a ton amd would definitely recommend it. Seriously though, this guy operates this raid like a machine, it's amazing.

We were in each other's chats nonstop the last few days. Quite often he was my only viewer while I was making attempts and often I was his only viewer while he was trying. He was nice enough to share strategies and I shared what I could. We tested ideas and theories and I'm stoked for him. I just wanted to see somebody do it.

Pretty sure that it has to do with bosses health being modified to the number of players in the activity ... that's why solo nightfalls can be completed in similar time as with 3 people - bosses have a lot less health when you're solo

Yeah I feel ya there. I was guessing you meant it was insanely hard because of the light level you guys were at back then along with the perk changes before the patches and the biggest reason being not know how to control the vessel at the time. Plus it only gives you a limited time to figured out how to even possible do it before getting wiped. I've been trying to use sleeper simulant but since bungie needed it I doesn't stagger Oryx anymore so I actually need people to finish the last part so that I can continue the quest for touch of malice for future soloing.

Just think how much harder this would've been without that fantastically rolled 1000 yard stare. It's no coincidence that Tfue used the same triple tap 1000 yard stare in his oryx solo.
Actually almost the exact same loudout but Tfue had life support on the pulse which gives an advantage for the shade.
