    The 5075e is the base model. The 5075m would be a more appropriate comparison in my opinion. The massey 4707-4710 are all the exact same tractor just with different engine power.

    • @prequipmentsales

      The 4707 has no emissions and a different turbo so there are differences. The M is definitely a more appropriate comparison for feature but we’ll smoke it in price.

    The "Massey" is a "little Big tractor"& the "Deere" is a "Big little tractor". The 75e is an "entry-level" 75hp tractor. The Massey-Ferguson 4707 is a small horsepower "Professional Tractor. The price point probably determine's what tractor they will chose& verses ligjt-duty to heavey-duty. Would like to know the prices on both-even "if" it's just by percentages. The Massey-Ferguson IS REALY 40% more "tractor" than the John Deere in this "series" comparison. Thank you Sir for the great Vidio comparison.

    I bought an MF1835M last year and am in absolute love with it. I have been a Massey guy my entire life. We have 11 of them. I have been seriously looking at the 4707 to help modernize our fleet. I test drove one the other day at our local dealership. It was already sold before delivery. It was very nice to get to touch one and drive it if even for a few minutes. I test drove a JD 5075E a few days later just to compare and was underwhelmed by it. I have never understood the love of JD. They are expensive and don't deliver more in the class that I shop in. They might be in others but I have not seen it. I do have one JD and it is the same age and HP as some of my MF so I felt at the time it was a good comparison.

      I ran the build and price tool on both tractors this morning. The John Deere 5075E with standard cab, 1 remote, 4x4, power shuttle and 520M non self leveling loader came out to $70,700
      To add Premium Cab(closer to Massey’s deluxe cab) and a second remote to the 5075E it’s another $6,000
      The Massey 4707 with deluxe cab, FL3522 mid spec loader with soft ride, 2 remotes air ride seat etc is $71,870
      And after all that the Massey is still 2500lbs of more tractor.
      Seems like a pretty fair comparison dollar wise which was exactly my intention!

All the massey dealers where i live keep going out of business or quit selling massey’s saying that agco makes demands on them that are impossible to accomplish. Everyone already knows about the Deere and Kubota tax. Masseys compare much more with New Hollands as far as bang for buck. Both very good brands that really mostly care about the meat and potatoes sizes of tractors (60+ hp). CNH and AGCO tractor frames all seem to be a little larger hp for hp compared to other brands. They are both global conglomerates though, so you never know which country made which model. It could be France, Italy, Britain, Turkey, China, Korea, Canada, or here in the US. They also are massive equipment manufacturers too. Case is to New Holland as Fendt is to Massey, or in a fashion, how GMC is to Chevy. They are about 90% the same. There are more notable differences in the Monster class 9 units though, especially the tracked ones.

    Massey should really be compared to the Deere 5075M, not the E. The Deere holds its own there, especially when it comes to overall weight. The E is just too light. The problem with a similarly spec'd M is the extra $20,000 they want for green paint. When you add aTDI tuner to the 4707 youget bout 93 egin HP and 75ish at the PTO, for only another $600

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  Год назад +2

      Completely agreed that the M is a better comparison spec for spec.. We chose the E because it’s closer in price. The point we were trying to make was how much more you get for a similar price tractor.

    Your comparing apples to oranges the John Deere e series is there lighter duty entry level tractor. Not that it’s a bad tractor they are excellent tractors but they are on the lighter side. The 4707 is not that for Massey it should be compared to a 5075m or actually a 5085m

    Price point are not correct. You'd have to at least get a 5075e with the premium which would still be cheaper than the MF. a 5075M is more of a correct comparison. What this proves is that the Deere is a better option for someone trying not to spend as much.
