Setting Our Course: Yukon First Nations Self-Government provides an overview of Yukon First Nations land claims and self-government negotiation and implementation including initiatives in the areas of governance, programs and services, economic development, education and land. Of all the land claim and self-government agreements negotiated in Canada, the majority are found in the Yukon. By negotiating these agreements, Yukon First Nations, Canada and Yukon have established a new model of governance in the territory, one which recognizes self-determination for Yukon First Nations, allowing them to set their own course.
