With the JBL monitors you're eliminating constructive and deconstructive interference in the sound waves, which is necessary for any hope of a flat sound. Basically you have loud and dead spots in the sound if your speakers are slightly set up wrong. The JBL have an LED so you can range them properly. I'm surprised that's not standard.

Purchased these ones to be uses as multimedia speakers for a detailed listening. I wanted to avoid something like the Yamahas with the fatiguing highs or the adams or krk with maybe a more flat and boring sound, just for listening music, of course, I mean. Thank you for all these reviews. I know you do not like them that much for studio work, but maybe these could be the best ones among the others just to enjoy.
I used these speakers for many years In high school, since I started producing recently I invested in a pair of barefoot footprint and I must say there is definitely a level of detail from a $100 monitor compared to a $1500 one, I know they are out of the scope of this channel but list thought it share another viewpoint. I can do what was a day is twos work on the JBL I’m mere hours on the barefoots!!! Room treatment is a MUST as well obviously!!! Have you done any measurements of your room yet?
I'm reviewing them now and what big finding is that JBL has great home audio speakers. But the rockit is better as a studio monitor 😬 more bass in the rockit. Also the JBL seems to have a hiss 🤦🏾♂️. Maybe I'm wrong but I'll keep searching for a better monitor

hey quick question I bought two jbl 305ps seperately and I was wondering what cable I have to buy to be able to use them both at the same time. I bought them without cables and I have just been using xlr to 3.5mm so I basically just have one sitting there looking pretty. Hopefully you could clear this confusion up for me.
It's always the same when I listen to the KRK's. They sound beautifully (for enjoying music) BUT I just cannot put the finger on where the things are in my mix. It's just all over the place with the KRK. I had them for comparing to the HS5. And it was still the same. Here I also can hear in the JBL where my mix is. With the KRK I just can't.... Any different experience? Is here someone who mixes on the KRK G4 or G5?

You didn’t finish with a here’s where I think these are at compared to those… I have a set of JBL‘s… I don’t care about the finish. I think it’s a relevant. I think it’s just purely cosmetic. I think they have a little bit more full perspective, sound, definitely more focused in the mids
I'm not a pro mixer. Not even close. But I've owned these jbl's since last December. They are not nearly as good as my Mackie cr3's for mixing. Good low end but they don't translate well in the mix. I've had to do MANY more revisions than I did with the cr3's. I should've spent that extra money on a pair of white Yamaha hs7's. I'm still gonna get em soon.
I gotta agree with you on this.. i used to have JBL 305 mkii's and switched to the Yamaha HS5's.. its a big and better difference for me. The JBL's were alright, but the mixes didnt translate well like you mentioned. I feel the HS5's are WAY better since they give a more honest and reliable response. I am glad I switched.

Definitely the LP6. The boundary EQ and front facing port make this a no contest. I’m familiar with both speakers.
