Are the sandbags capable of having the sand directly in them or should it be in a bag inside? They seem of a good material but i can see one or two small bits of sunlight through the sides
I got the Kewlus spring and mounted it to a water base that came with the Ringside Cobra bag- that bag sucked - way too slow. So I took pvc pipe and using a metal powder epoxy -cold welded the pipe to the base. Added the spring - cut another section of pvc pipe for the top and made a bag out of pool noodles . Dont under estimate when he says the base needs to be solid - that critical. If you can grab the post on the bottom and move it around the bag wont jump back crisply when you hit it . So in other words it needs to be solid all the way up till it hits the bottom of the spring. My set-up now is lightning fast. I got into all this because I met Ryan Garcia very briefly who is the god father of cobra bags . I am in my 60 s and can now hit faster, harder and more accurately then most guys half my age .who try it for the first time .

Yep in some stores in the US (not all stores from the DIY feedback) the 3/4 inch galvanised pipes are slightly bigger diameter. I don't recall which stores have the right diameter (same as what's required for the Pro Spring DIY cobra bag) - anyone?
got mine in and pumped! just trying to scavenge an appropriately sized piece of wood i got laying around now! update: i must be goofing because it seems like the screws aren't biting hard enough? about 0.5cm of the screw gets into the board and just picking it up separates the multibase from the board qq. i'll go find some longer screws then
I've received my kobra bag. I bought a wooden base, and i tight the screws on the board and after hitting a bit, the screws went off. I've screwed it again on a different spot same thing happened. Any idea what i should do? Get bigger screws? 🤔
Hey Reedy. I been using the unit for a month now. i must say that it is very fun and a great work out. When will the base feet be in production? also i am 6’3 and the I would like to extend the bag up a bit. Is there a click bar extender?
The feet or Stabiliser Paddles should be out next month. You could try getting a 3/4 inch galvanised pipe to replace the bottom Click Bar. Use a hose clamp to clamp the bottom spring cap in place on it. Just make sure the pipe you get is the right height for you and is the standard outer diameter. The outer diameter of the pipe should be 1.05 inches or 26.7mm which fits perfectly into the Click Mast and Spring.
Thank you. In every case the speed can be increased by simply moving the spring down on the bottom Click Bar. So speed is not an issue. It’s more the type of metal and the coil design that will differ. My aim is to make hardier springs with greater flex and able to handle more weight and thus longer top section
I was just thinking of making a sort of standing punching bag using the current setup but wondered if the spring was adapted for it. I can't wait to see the heavy-duty spring when it comes out!
You could definitely try! In fact for one of my next projects I'm going to look at making a free-standing punching bag that can simply go over the top of the cobra bag. You would remove the top section, slide the bag on and insert the top section from the top and click it into place. The cobra ball would force the bag down and hold it in place.
@@Kewlus What do you mean slide the bag on?it will be a free standing bag like a heavybag with pool noodles with the top section with the leather ball on top of that?
Yes. I’m also thinking making it in sections. Each section would be able to be filled with material of your choice such as cloth or pulp. Might even have a section with a bladder that could be filled with water or air. You would decide how many sections you need and how they should be arranged from bottom to top

If using fine sand then I’d probably recommend putting the sand in plastic bags. If using course sand or gravel then it would be fine as is.

It’s strange, in the U.S. the steal 3/4inch pipe wont fit into the mast because of the threading but 3/4inch PVC fits perfect.

Yep get thicker screws and as long as possible to match the thickness of your board and base combined
@@Kewlus the base is the on i bought from you. So i think I won't be able to get thicker screws otherwise they won't fit.
Get chipboard screw. They have thicker threads. The Multi Base can take thicker screws no problem
