Rather than cut the excess tarpaulin off above where your little outside water tank is you could thread string through the eyelets and tie it to the trees nearby and have it as an extra canopy so you won’t get wet if it’s raining. @@susanalbone5101 Good idea. I would do the same over the wood pile if it was me. That way the wood will stay drier. Unfortunately the Tarpaulin will probably have to be replaced yearly as being exposed to the elements will cause it it decay over the year.

Cool Seeing you both at your your old cabin! I agree with the steel trash can as your best storage solution. I store kindling wood in one and its always dry. I set a cup of road salt in it to absord any moisture.

Do you realize that you should cut the tree down that goes thru your roof? That tree will still grow and ruin your building. A friend of ours did it. They built a home around a tree with it going thru there house. Started ruining there home and had to cut it down and fix there home. Please watch it so it don't ruin yours. It woukd make a lot of sense to leave poison for the vermin. I put mine in glass jars with metal lids eith a small diameter hole cut into them. If you think poison is cruel think of himans suffering from deseases the vermin may carry. Even donestic animals can be sickened by them.

Do you realize that you should cut the tree down that goes thru your roof? That tree will still grow and ruin your building. A friend of ours did it. They built a home around a tree with it going thru there house. Started ruining there home and had to cut it down and fix there home. Please watch it so it don't ruin yours. Love watching you and your dog.

It woukd make a lot of sense to leave poison for the vermin. I put mine in glass jars with metal lids eith a small diameter hole cut into them. If you think poison is cruel think of himans suffering from deseases the vermin may carry. Even donestic animals can be sickened by them.
