Won’t happen.. Sorry I don’t wanna sound pessimistic but they never did for msfs 2020, idk why they would now, especially with their immense mountain to climb to fix that 2024 piece of work.
Thanks Mark for being on top of these things. Now if SIM Innovations would update their KnobFS software so I can use my Knobster with msfs 2024. It has been an invaluable tool for flying in VR.
I bought an old knackered Saitek Yoke and Quadrant set. The first thing I did was to instal a Leo Bodnar Analogue /Digital converter card. The card has 4 Analogue 0 - 5 Vdc inputs for Potentiometers and 8 digital inputs for two or three position switches. The OE Saitek yoke software gave a enormous 'dead zone' in center. The Bodnar card gives a smooth increase from limit to limit. The Aeroplane I fly is the IRIS Grob 115, which has a Quadrant on the centre console 45 Degs rear to 45 degs forward. I positioned the saitek quadrant at a 45 deg angle to simulate the Grob. In VR, it doesn't matter what the controllers look like as long as they are in the correct postion, have the same movement and do the same function. For the Grob, which has a centre stick with one press button, I have lashed up to the Saitek yoke, a vertical piece of tubing which has a press-button on the top, wired to one of the Bodnar digital inputs. The tube has a bicycle handlebar grip on it :-) Also on the yoke, I have strapped a 25W surface shaker. A 50mm diameter vibration Haptic actuator. It is driven from the second channel off the amplifier board which is driving the Bass Shacker under my chair. The shaker on the yoke does two things. 1, it gives a vibration through the stick, and 2, it elliminates stickyness in the yoke travelways and gearing to the axis potentiometers. Flying the Grob is as close to the real thing as can be. Of course, instrument switches and adjustments are with the mouse, but this hardly detracts from the immersion. Performing manouvers has a very similar hand sensation. I just have to keep one eye on the artificial horizon, ASI and VSI. I have a Vive Pro 2, which Steve at VRFlightSimGuy has recommended NOT to buy. I find nothing wrong with it. 2448 x 2448 per eye driven by a MSI 4070ti. i9 13900k CPU. 32 Gbt RAM. 45 fps solid. Buy from Amazon, because they have a 'no quibble' returns policy. I had to return a MSI Motherboard. No problems. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07W6DRCWY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
@@jumpjet777Over the past couple of years, Honeycomb Aeronautical, known for its flight simulation hardware, has faced significant challenges, including financial disputes, production delays, and customer service issues. Financial Disputes and Ownership Issues In early 2024, founder Nicki Repenning revealed that a business partner, responsible for the company's financial management, had registered Honeycomb solely under their own name without including Repenning as an owner. This led to financial discrepancies, such as inflated service fees and underpriced sales invoices, which negatively impacted the company's financial health. Production Delays These financial issues caused significant production delays, notably affecting the release of the Charlie Rudder Pedals. Funds intended for production were misallocated, leading to halted manufacturing and unfulfilled pre-orders. Customer Service Complaints Customers reported a lack of communication, unprocessed refund requests, and undelivered products. The Better Business Bureau received numerous complaints about unresponsive customer service and unresolved issues. Current Status As of August 2024, ownership disputes persisted. The parent company, snakebyte | GROUP, stated that Repenning was a former employee without ownership rights to Honeycomb's assets or intellectual property. They also clarified that they were not collaborating with him and had no plans to sell Honeycomb Aeronautical. These compounded issues have led to production halts, unfulfilled orders, and a tarnished reputation within the flight simulation community.
Took them a while but it's really great now! Although I'm still not a huge fan of the annunciator panel - I mean, I can see it in the plane on my monitor, why would I look down on my quadrant to look at it there? But maybe it'll grow on me.
Thanks , always very good job, question: should we assign the bottoms at msfs 24 first before downloading and install this update or does not matter ? I am following your instructions on previous video about changing the controls for Throttle Quadrant .
As always, much appreciated! Unfortunately, the installer does not appear to work if you have a custom Community folder location (e.g. mine is on F:\MSFS 2024\Community). Any thoughts?
FWIW I find it works if you let the installer install to its default location on C:\. I tried moving the installed folders to my [custom] community folder and also via Addon Linker but it didn't work at all.

Question, after installing the AFC bridge 2024. Oddly all my CPU cores are at 92-97% usage tanking my frame rate lol. Have you or anyone else noticed this and know how to fix it? I haven't uninstalled the new afc bridge and wanted to know if any fix for it. (Note- it's only doing this in free flight mode) Career has no issues with CPU utilization
Watched the video 5 times now and still can't get my lights on. I don't think they ever worked after day one when I bought the Bravo. Checked in my Community Folder and I have AFC_Bridge and aerosoft-data-exchange folders in it. I give up with the lights, so long as my Bravo works, I guess I'm happy!!!
Double check your installation path. I have a custom installation, and for some reason it wanted to install in ...Community/community folder, so I moved them to my higher level Community folder, the same as my UserCfg file shows my community folder as "E:\MSFS 2024\comfiles\Community", and I got no lights. As soon as I moved the installed files back to Community/community folder (where the installer wanted to install), bingo got lights.

Hi Mark, Thanks for the video, much appreciated! 👍😊 Short question though ... And for my question I thing it is essential for you to know that I installed MSFS2020 on my D drive, MSFS2024 on my E drive and DCS on my F drive. It looks like the installer choses my MSFS2020 community folder over the community folder from MSFS2024. Am I doing something wrong here, or is this a bug in the installer?
@@wilfredgroeneweg it is a limitation of the installer. However providing you have the default location and have redirected the community file location it should work fine. It did for me. If not then you may have to create the default path, install and copy the file across to your comm folder.

It's complicated but Honeycomb kind of went bust or changed ownership/CEO. I can't remember the details of the full story off hand.
