that's one of the move in boxes when you get your tent in the beginning of the game (inside one is a lamp and the other has a radio in it) if you don't open them you are able to keep them even when your house gets upgraded and that is what I've done here. you can not put it in storage, just move it with the interior design mode . and once you opened it you cannot go back to have this box again. hope that helps :)
