I love her Design etc. but I only ever needed her a few times. I dont think shes fun to play in the overworld since you always rely on yelan burst being up so I just use her in Abyss but even then, my preference goes to yoimiya nowadays. Shes definitely good but I wouldnt recommend getting her after arlecchino release unlesss you love her. C1 is definitely not worth it rather any support con. I guess nowadays you always run her in Plunge Xianyun but I dont like playing that at all I like seeing Fire
I feel you on that. I don’t use her in overworld. Arlecchino is definitely more convenient in that scenario. I used to not like that we have so many pyro DPSs but now it’s nice that there’s so many options for playstyles
Well it also depends on who you have to support them. Arlecchino is more flexible I will say though. But the units that Hu Tao wants are very good units to have. Maybe that might be your tiebreaker
To me it sounds like you have a set up more for Arlecchino. If you had Furina then Hu Tao could stand up to Arlecchino’s strength especially since Arle and Furina have anti synergy. So until then an Arlecchino would be clearly stronger
My team consists of hu tao, xinqui, mona, bannet...im a returning player and f2p player...got any suggestions on team comp since i only able to do about 33k damage at most
It all depends on who you have. Hu Tao has gotten a lot of characters that buff her. Yelan, Furina, Xianyun, Xilonen, and even Thoma. Do you have any of those characters and either Zhongli or Thoma? And plus build matters a lot too.
Everyone talks Hu Tao up so much. On her first banner I pulled for her, got her, then blew all my saved primos for Staff of Homeless. It took 2 re runs before I finally got a Homa. I was in a dungeon where the enemies were all ice and sapped your energy with ice stalactites falling. Hu Tao felt horrible to play there. It made me really notice how garbage her playstyle is. I thought it would change with her sig weapon. Nope. So then I was told she feels like herself at C1. By the time her next rerun came around, I already switched to Yoimiya. Whenever I had a team that could slot Hu Tao, I snubbed her for Yoimiya. Then when Arlecchino came out, Hu Tao will stay on the bench. For me, Hu Tao is among my highest regrets. Would love a refund system, but Hoyo is a greedy Chinese casino scam.
Ya I understand. That’s why I say with DPS playstyle is most important. You succeeding with Yoimiya proves that point. I actually remember that specific abyss. As a Hu Tao main I was very upset and I basically couldn’t take advantage of her C1. But since I personally like her playstyle she stood the test of time for me. Glad you got a powerhouse like Arlecchino tho. Hopefully the Staff of Homa has seen some use.

Missed my Xilonen C2 pull. Still considering if HuTao C1 worth it but reaching 65 pity now (guaranteed), Neuvi or Arle seems more worth it
Ya in terms of power Arle just outperforms most of the time but preference of course
if you like to invest c1r1 is great but just get cchino if you prefer smoother gameplay with a lot more dps

Xingqiu would be the replacement but if you don’t use Furina then I don’t recommend Xianyun anymore. Either Xilonen or Zhongli for that slot.
