Initially had my reservations about Mickey however I believe he should be the head coach or at the very least the director of coaching for Sri Lanka cricket where he overlooks junior cricket and the A team squads

We've beated SA, IND, Aus since middle of 2021. U have to let the team grow. Wont happen in a day, they've won games, this new team has to be allowed to grow.

Since 2021 July after winning the T20 series against India and losing the ODI series against India 2-1 under Dasun's captaincy, we have gone on to win a lot of ODI series at home. We won 2-1 against South Africa, 2-1 against Zimbabwe, 1-1 tied with Afghanistan (should have been 2-1 had the 2nd match not been washed off due to rain), won against Aussies (3-2) which we have never done since 1996. So yeah, our ODI record at home has massively improved since 2021 July, and previously under Mathews's captaincy, we lost ODI series to Zimbabwe, India, Australia and South Africa at home even. Afterwards under KJP's captaincy, we didn't win a single series both ODI and T20Is. We are good but have a long way to go but our team is on the right track.

Are we in a good place right now? We can only compete with lower ranked teams in limited over formats . Winning the Asia cup was the best since 2015 .
