I love marksmanship events, they're all laid back but require machine like precision.

Love the rifle competition events, both small bore and high power matches.
Its not hard to get a 10 or even a 10.6, 10.7 as I am also practicing it. However what makes it hard is the consistency of your shot, you must do the same thing every time to get a ten or more and that really comes from your hard word, practice for at least 1-2 years, 6-8 hours a day continuously
Now thats true . Hitting the shot is not difficult . Achiving this type of consistency is whats make this sport really difficult.
You should try the olympic archery.. Incredibly difficult to even hit the target at all at 70 meters.. Ive had a go and had to stop as I was hitting the back wall and the ground, everywhere but the target..I hit the board once but it was knowhere near any of the actual rings..Then you think about the guys doing it and they can hit usually a 9 or 10 pretty much all the time.. A 8 would be considered a bad shot... Lol ridiclous level of precision..

Bullseye is 0.5mm... Dayum, I couldn't target that from a meter away.

I couldn't understand that they average around 10.5 each shot in qualification and in finals some score 9.9,9.1 also even when shots are way less than the 60 in qualification
it's a big pressure to understand that you are fighting for the medal and also there is a noise and you are so thrilled
it is quite hard to stay calm so they can make mistake and get 9
Well these marksman have been standing in a very uncomfortable position for around 30 minutes straight. Plus the saying for marksman goes "miss an inch miss a mile" in this case even half a millimeter off can result in missing the center by inches. The gun is also constantly moving with your breathing and jittering everytime your heart beats. Watch the tips of the barrel and you can see their heart beat.

I hope Tokyo 2020 will use new recordings for the national anthems. London 2012 recordings imo isn't as good as Athens 2004 or Beijing 2008's, but used in so many multievents like Nanjing 2014 YOG, Rio 2016 OG, 2015 & 2019 European Games, ...

@@thomasmuller7608 ?! Meant that if you spend 8k on a of the shelf rifle you could definitely win with it. I never said you don’t need skill. I was using a 400$ rifle once then I went to a 3k rifle but I lost about 10 points even after a while. If you don’t have skill or money your useless. Especially in a sport like shooting witch is a material sport. The better stuff you have the better you can possibly get.
I don't understand this I've got a relatively high end pcp and I can group free hand of less than a 10p coin at 30 meters how is this so hard when their rifles cost thousands and are specifically designed for accuracy ?

In the US we use real rifles.
Nope in the US we shoot Air rifles as well. Im sure your highshool has an air rifle team.
How is this an Olympic sport? It's completely unfathomable to 99.9% of folks, you need a micrometer to tell 1st from last. You might as well have Olympic TIG welding.
You also need a micrometer to tell apart the runners in the 100m dash and nobody is complaining.

Just looking it is needed to little skill, but in reality it is tough one to get stability, it is hardest skill set to achieve it.....
What a joke, This an Olympic sport? It is a shame to call them athletes. Seems like with some practice any average bloke can get into this sport.

@@jackfrost7389 All sports in Olympic are to test human limit ... In shooting even 50m event is there where .22caliber is used.
This 10m has a target smaller then a Dot . , Which one has to hit from 10m distance.
All sports in olympic are there to test human limits , some related to physical strength, some are related to mental strength .
But all of them has high benchmark which can be achieved by working for years consistently.
