Hello! Tracing it provides a base/sketch of where the features will be located. After tracing what you can, you kinda have to fix it and put a little more detail. Hope this helps! It does take a bit of time, but you got this :))
Hello there! I used normal white printing paper. Some advice is to keep a sturdy hand or download an app where a picture can be locked in place for tracing. I quickly traced and redrew it. If you'd like to trace it in one shot, just be patient and take your time. Also! If some images cannot be seen easily through the paper, try inverting the colors of the image(s) to get a darker contrast. Hope this helps, thank you!

If you're asking if Elmers glue can act as a replacement for Mod Podge, I've heard that in some cases it does work but I'm not too sure myself. I think it depends on what you use on your drawings. Like if you use basic markers and dump Elmer's glue and try to spread it, the marker might smear. Same goes for certain paints. I recommend doing a lil test run on smaller drawings so your whole piece isn't ruined :))
