The king has struck again..... No doubt Richard is the king. I watched Bill Dance my whole life and have learned small bits about bass fishing. But i have watched your videos for a matter of months and I have learned more about fishing than I have from a lifetime of watching Bill Dance.
Bill Dance is a joke; he's a salesman first and somebody who just happens to fish, second. Also, he fishes private lakes and ponds that are stocked so as to look more competent than he really is. Bill Dance is a business suit with a southern draw, nothing more. I know this was a harsh comment but learning how much of a corporate salesman and fake fisherman he is really turned my opinion of him belly up.
@@ACuriousSquirrel you are 100% correct I remember he would go to these private small lake/ponds to film a show that if you or I or Elmo could go to we'd catch em good to . He's for sure in the sales business first. But I tell ya I'd buy whatever Richard Gene were to be selling right lol. There's been several Boat mfg. tryimg to get Richard to fish their boat and he said he's not gonna do it. He's a good honest man God fearing man at that. He's deserving of any and all good things that comes his way.
I appreciate your being a teacher letting us see how and what you are doing. I appreciate the fact that you don’t have loud music in the background. I can hear you perfectly.
Good evening Richard. It's amazing to me, that a person can have the biggest, fastest, best rigged out boat that can be had. Sonar, radar, depth finder, front scan, side scan, up scan, down scan, charts, graphs, GPS, and I don't know what else can be put on a rig. And yet the best fishing can still be done with a cane pole, or extendable poles, line, bobber, hook and a bucket of minnows or box of worms. No better way to introduce kids and new fishermen and women to the sport. It is just as important as catching fish, to do exactly what you said, enjoy God's great gift of the outdoors. And at the end of the day, thank him for both and giving us the day to enjoy both. God bless ya'll, Richard. And thank you for taking us along with you and sharing your knowledge with us. Stay safe out there brother.
Can it get more fun than watching Richard fishing in one of his videos? Do you not feel like you're in the boat or standing on the bank next to him? This is a man that has figured out how to enjoy life. Take note.
Love your videos Richard you've taught me a lot over the years I've watched you basically since you started and I'm a much better fisherman because of your videos..thank you
Love Crappie fishing, always felt like once you catch one your gonna catch a bunch, love how they just kinda swim away with the bobber instead yanking it down
Appreciate that tip man. They are going deeper and I'm off the bank myself. I use bobber stoppers for some of my bass rigs two peg weight. But with micro guides you can't reel that thing in there. That knot will work famously
Hey Richard, when are you taking Mom out fishing again? Or, is she in for the winter? I love when you two are together, I can really see the Love between the both of you! Makes me SMILE. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
As always what a pleasure to stop in on your videos I always learn a bit more Even though you’re in Tennessee and I’m in The Great State of Texas the crappie the same Thanks a lot my guy
I love your show brother god bless you and your family i have learned so much from watching your show you have been a blessing brother and I mean that from the heart
Little extra tip on the setup. If you take some time, add enough weight so that the bobber just barely floats, using the smallest shot size. If you can just barely see your boober, there will be almost 0 resistance at the hook, which will help both seeing light bites, and almost reducing the chance of the fish spitting the bait. I find it helps a bit.
Very informative, appreciate these awesome videos Richard from your team. Think I'm going to go get me a bucket of minnows today and try some spots on my lake.
thanks Richard, fished that same spot many times but i've been fishing the wrong depth, i see a lot of bait balls around that bridge on the sonar great area.
Hey Richard, Thank you for all of your great fishing videos! I love to catch crappie and bluegill and try to pay attention to what you say to help catch more fish. I just have a simple older Jon boat and some fishing poles. I am retired and on a fixed income, so I can't afford all those electronics to see where the fish are hiding, I just go to a place on the lake that looks fishy. Can you offer a video where no electronics are used on a lake and what to look for to catch more crappie and bluegill? Thank you again for your videos and hope your days are blessed with fishing, family and good friends!
Hey Richard, Thank you soooooo much for sharing your knowledge and know how. Do you mind going over your setup? I don't quite understand the uni or slip knot. Thanks in advance.
Hey man wooo…. really enjoy your videos, thank you. When you were demonstrating the uni knot sliding you could use a rod holder to assist next time. It may help.
Awesome video.. Question,,,,how do you keep the palomar knot from catching on the tip of the rod when you cast it out when fishing deeper and the knot is wound into the rod a few feet?
Great video Richard! Definitely the most effective way to target Crappie, especially really good ones. My favorite method in winter here in Central Florida. Great tip on beads at Hobby Lobby, I got a similar supply from Michaels craft store. God Bless, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Momma Sue!
Richard, been watching your for years. Die hard Crappie guy from Wisconsin. Its on my bucket list to come fish with ya. Any way to make that possible ? Love watching your vids, be a dream to come fish with ya.
Richard, i have a question for you, can you eat the fish out of the Tenessee River? I have read that the fish in the river have high levels of Mercury, is this true?

@@ACuriousSquirrel😅 great presentation by the
Great presentation byds MASTER. 😂😂😂😂
The best thing about watching Bill Dance, was him falling out of his boat.
This man is 1000% better at locating fish than a livescope!
For me, this channel is as much the joy of salvation and the guidance of the holy spirit in our lives as it is about fishing Thanks Mr. Gene
This guy never ceases to amaze me! He could catch them even if they weren’t there 😆
I appreciate your being a teacher letting us see how and what you are doing. I appreciate the fact that you don’t have loud music in the background. I can hear you perfectly.
Thank you Brother RG! You are a HUGE blessing to us all. Take Momma Sue on a date. Fish On! 😇💗🤗
Thank you so much for this and I did exactly that! Took Sue to captain D's today! Thank you again and God bless!

Appreciate that tip man. They are going deeper and I'm off the bank myself. I use bobber stoppers for some of my bass rigs two peg weight. But with micro guides you can't reel that thing in there. That knot will work famously

I've been fishing the same basic rig as that for 40 years. It works.
Have you ever done a video on cleaning these fish?? If so, where is it?? I'd like to see how you clean these fish.
Very informative, appreciate these awesome videos Richard from your team. Think I'm going to go get me a bucket of minnows today and try some spots on my lake.

*Gahhhhhhhhhhhlee* WOOOOOOOO!

Way to go Richard you the man nice crappie!
He's the best and a good guy!
I noticed you don't set the hook as soon as the fish bite. How long do you normally wait?? Do you miss many?😊
Hey man wooo…. really enjoy your videos, thank you. When you were demonstrating the uni knot sliding you could use a rod holder to assist next time. It may help.
The fishing GOAT!
You rock Richard thanks for the video
So glad I found you on the TUBE. Your info is so valuable. Just wish I didn’t live in Illinois where all water is muddy.🙏❤️🇺🇸
Nice job here in nc i haven't caught a crappie in 3 years
I thought that was my crappie spot when I saw the bridge 🤣 if you’re ever in south east tn with a rod, I need to know 👍🏼
Another great fishing trip
Thank you Richard, great info and video! I got to get me some of your shirts and caps 😀 Love your little dog! 😍 God's blessings always! 😇
Looks good Richard, what time is supper ?
Nice fish. Looked like a good spot.
I have caught stringers crappie with a bare gold Aberdeen hook during the spawn in spring
Awesome video.. Question,,,,how do you keep the palomar knot from catching on the tip of the rod when you cast it out when fishing deeper and the knot is wound into the rod a few feet?
The line connection knot is a double uni knot trimmed close, about 1/8 of an inch. He normally uses a trident knot for the hook.
National treasure right here.
Crappie goat at work
You da man Mr fishing machine
Great catch 👌🏾👌🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Best fisherman that ever!
I love catching Black Crappie! They fight a lot harder!! 😁
Come to central PA and do this from the bank lol. Our crappie fishing is crappy 😂🎉😢
Good show, Richard.
Can you please send me the link to your video where you teach us how to tie your mono weed guard on the crappie jig?
Great video Richard! Definitely the most effective way to target Crappie, especially really good ones. My favorite method in winter here in Central Florida. Great tip on beads at Hobby Lobby, I got a similar supply from Michaels craft store. God Bless, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Momma Sue!

Richard, i have a question for you, can you eat the fish out of the Tenessee River? I have read that the fish in the river have high levels of Mercury, is this true?
Didn't want those guys to think you were talking to yourself.
