    Can you possibly do one on the SE K&N air filter? It uses the stock cleaners box but completely opens up the front of the stock air cleaner. Compared to the Wedge cleaner the SE K&N one is significantly less expensive.

Next question is will the Heavy Breather Extreme make the same numbers on the dyno. On the fence on which one to buy. Will be doing the Pro Street tune also. Thanks again.

    • @ronaldhicks2965

      No external filters for the air cleaner. To keep the m8 from sucking the blow by oil back in threw the throttle body onto the pistons

    • @MasterTechMiller
      @MasterTechMiller  6 месяцев назад +1

      @ronaldhicks2965 I don't think you haven't written that correctly or you don't understand how the the system works.
      The crankcase pressure is routed back into the intake manifold. The is no where to add a filter. The VVT M8 has newly designed transmission top cover with an oil separator then its ran up hill from the transmission to the intake manifold.
      Adding a filter in line makes no sense unless you are venting the crankcase pressure externally and in that case you are venting the gases externally.

    • @MasterTechMiller
      @MasterTechMiller  6 месяцев назад +2

      @markman7 Dynojet dynos (industry standard for motorcycles) state there can be a 10% swing between dynos. If you have 1 dyno reading 10% low & another dyno reading 10% high then the is a huge difference in read outs.
      My video shows the difference with the same bike, same dyno just different components.
      Sure it was done on different day when the weather conditions are different. If you wanted to get technical, I am located 2200ft above sea level so my numbers are actually slightly lower than other shops because there is less air for the engines to breathe. Engines lose about 3% of total output per 1000ft in elevation so I can safely add 6% to these numbers to get sea level numbers.
      I've proved that in other videos on my channel.
      Watch the first video (linked in description of this video). It shows more stock runs.

      @@MasterTechMiller Again, my results were same tune, same mods, same fuel, same dyno, same building, same guy doing the pull, same air filter, and over 10% improvement due only to atmospheric conditions. It all just makes one wonder when K&N air filters never result in gains without tuning (HD stage 1). Engine temp is also another factor. Two dyno run numbers just don't validate an air filter swap IMO. Too many other variables in play. MPG ratings at oem manufacturers aren't done by a simple trip to Walmart and back.
