Well their epa Tuner sucks There are way better cams out there Their exhaust options suck (head pipes and slip ons) But .. they do have some stuff way better then the aftermarket
Can you possibly do one on the SE K&N air filter? It uses the stock cleaners box but completely opens up the front of the stock air cleaner. Compared to the Wedge cleaner the SE K&N one is significantly less expensive.
Looking at the 2017-2023 version of this filter. How many mm is the opening on the backing plate on the Extreme Wedge? The HD description says this is designed for 68mm. I've seen install videos of people installing this on stock throttlebodies, which I beleive is 55mm, so why was there no step/shoulder where the supposedly 68mm on the backing plate meets the 55mm or 64mm throttlebodies? It looked like the diameters where the same where the 2x diameters meet
@ronaldhicks2965 I don't think you haven't written that correctly or you don't understand how the the system works. The crankcase pressure is routed back into the intake manifold. The is no where to add a filter. The VVT M8 has newly designed transmission top cover with an oil separator then its ran up hill from the transmission to the intake manifold. Adding a filter in line makes no sense unless you are venting the crankcase pressure externally and in that case you are venting the gases externally.
Those are REALLY impressive numbers for a "stage 1". The new 121 is proving to be a monster! I can't wait to see what they can do with a cam or big bore kit!
Honestly I don’t think you’ll need a big bore. It makes more compression than most big bore kits! If someone comes out with a cam that can take advantage of VVT it will be an animal
Great video...impressive gains over stock air box. Wonder why the dip in torque with the SE Wedge at 25 to 3100 rpms. Good gains above that though. Next question is will the Heavy Breather Extreme make the same numbers on the dyno. On the fence on which one to buy. Will be doing the Pro Street tune also. Thanks again.
I have fitted the new Heavy Breather extreme to a new Street Glide CVO but did not get the chance to run it on the dyno. It's safe to say that it will definitely improve HP & TQ over the stock filter.

Great video. I was surprised how much more power you got with the wedge over stock. I have the heavy breather on my ST and I’m going to change it cause I hit my leg in it. Is there a performance difference between the SE wedge and the SE ventilator?
If you're just talking about the SE Ventilator & the Ventilator Extreme, there is a huge difference between the SE Wedge & SE Ventilator. The Difference between the SE Wedge & SE Ventilator Extreme would be minimal
First off thank you so much for the videos. That is awesome information that you provided. I know you said the screaming Eagle heavy breather extreme. Would be better than the stock filter. But would it be better than the wedge filter? I guess I'm asking which breather would be better on my new 121 cvo vvt. Thank you for your time sir. P.S. all I have done is a krome werks slip on with louvered baffles. Thanks again.
SE Wedge is my go to. I haven't tested the Heavy Breather Extreme yet. I can't imagine it would do as good as the Wedge. It would still out perform the OEM filter though.
Thank you so much for replying. We love your channel and have been subscribed for a few months now. Your channel is what influenced me to buy the new 121 CVO VVT. This new bike is definitely a game changer for harley davidson. Thank you so much for your honesty of your videos. You don't sugar coat anything and try to push the consumer to a product that really isn't any good. I love the looks of the SE heavy breather extreme. But performance means more to me than looks. Do you see in the future of doing a Dyno test against the wedge with the heavy breather Extreme? Either way, like you said. @MasterTechMiller I love the honesty of your channel. A lot of videos on the internet are faking dyno numbers and trying to up sell harley stuff, but if it sucks you tell us that it does. Love the honesty of the video. Keep up the good work, sir. Thanks.
I'd recommend it for sure. It's not necessary but you may find some running issues & if you do then get a tuning device. The SE Pro Street Tuner is absolutely fine to run on there bikes
Do you think there would be any benefit with doing the wedge air cleaner and H-D tuner and retaining the stock exhaust system? Thanks and great video content!
any ideas if or when we might see the SE auto tuner for the 121 VVTs? I really want to have that setup with wide band as I loved it on my 22 SG CVO. It just runs better all the time. Great video, def throwing the full Khrome Werks on and the wedge once my new 24 RG CVO arrives next week! What baffles are you running in that pipe? louvered? Thanks again!
These were just the stock baffles that come in the pipe. I don't have any idea when a the full Smart Tune version will be able for these. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there both from Screamin Eagle & in the aftermarket that are working on the tuning game for these.
No cam upgrades as yet. Tuning is available via Screamin Eagle Pro Street Tuner. It has limited adjustment, but adjustment is adjustment so yeah, you can TUNE them
Great information thank you. I have a 23 CVO Street Glide, I can't take delivery until February after the recall fix. I am having the Krome werks Slip ons put on and after seeing your great videos I would like to put on the wedge filter also. Will the bike need a flash tune also? or can this be done without one. Thanks
You don't have to do the flash tune if you don't want. You will still see great gains with using those slip-on's & this wedge filter. The flash tune DOES richen up the tune slightly so your gains will be slightly different. Either way, its fine to run it.
Thanks for the video. It was awesome info. In your opinion, which air filter would perform the best on the new 121 cvo vvt. with krome werks slip ons. The SE heavy breather extreme or the SE wedge. Thank you for your time sir.
