It's really punishing for those who spent lots of ores maxing some of these equipments, specially the epics. Will probably make the average player less enthusiastic about maxing equipments from now on and spread out ores among all of them for future proofing.
It is a little frustrating, especially if having spend all that ore into a certain piece of equipment and it now suddenly isn't usable. I do think overall it's a positive change. The meta was waaaaay to easy and hopefully this helps.
