💬Plot summary:
Fan Xian grew up in a small town by the sea with his grandmother, following a sudden visit of a poison master, his peaceful life quickly morph into one filled with danger and hardship. After becoming rather skilled with medicine, poison and martial arts, he goes to the capital to find out more about his mysterious mother. He ends up on an adventure of marvelling the world, getting tangled in politics, finding true love, figuring out his purpose in life and secrets of his world.

That scene where he imagined how he was going to act a fool, in order to sabotage his engagement had me rolling. That boisterous laughter. Lol. The brother-sister moment. I've had moments like this with my brother. Good times. I'm glad he recognized Wan'er's voice in time and also told the truth. Wasn't sure how long he was going to keep the lie going. Now they just have to convince everyone else before the engagement is broken off.
Won’t be surprised if that kick that Fan Zishe took is the start of a beautiful relationship

I like how men look really natural ; no Whitened skin or lip gloss... The clothes are also not overly fancy, the houses and the whole set is not exagerated. Compared to other dramas everything seems on point here ! The plot the comedy, the acting everything is really amazing 😍
Syrine ishiso i totally agree with you. Some of the whitening is just excessive it actually don’t look good on some actors. This drama is fantastically natural. Just love it 😍
it doesn’t look natural at all, there is always a weird green filter in every single scene, they need to do better.
@@jetbrown3085 you are missing the point... I'm not talking about the colors but I'm praising the natural makeup and the whole set from clothes to houses and objects used ! As for the filtrer I got used to it from episode one, for me every episode looks more like a movie (camera wise)! As long as the story keeps on being this good everything else is details... 😁

This is the second time watching this drama. For 2019, this drama was my number 1. Now this is 2020 and still my number 1. The book is well written, and all the actors did their best. I love it. Too bad that season 2 will be aired after 5 years. Fortunately the actors have already signed a 5 year contract.

Season two will start filming supposedly last quarter of this year 2021 the availability of the original cast from season one is a big issue because Zhang Rouyun and Zhao Xian have become tightly busy with other projects that the rumor is that they might replace them for other actors also I read that Xiao Xian salary has skyrocketed since the untamed that the producers are having second thoughts in hiring him back for the same role he played in season one

They finally meet and the first thing these naughty youngsters do is 'play doctor'. What fun! Later, after a few misunderstandings Fan Xian shows her what a Renaissance man he really is. He knows medicine, matial arts, literature so how can she resist? What's going on with those murderous, veiled ladies? Do we really need another devious plot?
Oh my gosh, their meeting is one of the highlights of this episode. FINALLY❤😊their back and forth communication proving WHO IS HE REALLY. Now, the arrange marriage HAS TO PUSH THROUGH🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤. Rouro the sister is the epitome of A LOVING AND SUPPORTIVE SISTER and the younger brother VERY PROUD TO BE HIS BROTHER. It is really nice to have a family unit that happiness, kindness, care , honest and understanding plays a key role in family’s life.

This is so well written. I can not believe anyone thinks this is not on the same level as Untamed. I am so drawn in and its only episode 11...
My opinion is… still Joy of Life is better than Untamed.
Rewatch this for the third time now. Looking back, every character that could have their own wikipedia entry has their own personality, their own story, own motivations, and agencies. Each characters play into the plot of the story. I thought chinese drama was doom to either just remade Jin Yong's series over and over and or stuck with mediocre new stuffs. But some of the newer series are great. Much improvement in cinematography, type of genre, and writing. Advisor's alliance, Legend of South West Dance and Music, The Vigilantes in Masks, and the likes. There are just so many new series that coming out every year. Some with pretty epic trailers. I need to definite spent more time exploring the modern age of China/Hong Kong/Taiwan tv shows.
