I am working with watercolor ~ but there I can't draw these wonderful effects like you with acrylics. (especially the green leafs - it's so great 😍) Could you help me with watercolor tips too, or works you only in acrylics? (I can't buy any of these for my home, because I have cats 😊 - and these flowers are very poison... 😰. But I love them and it's so nice when they are blowing in the shops everywhere now 😉...)
Actually the red petals are leaves. The 'flower' on a poinsettia is the little yellow thing in the center. tropical plants often have red leaves to protect them from excess sun.

+Sing Gal You want to use Floating Medium. That's whats going to help the paint glide on your surface. Don't use water, that will cause the paints to mix together. Good luck. Let me know how you do.
+Sarah Y I'm using the Floating Medium. This allows the paint to glide on surfaces that are porous. Since I'm painting on paper and the paint is thick and creamy, I needed something other than water to make the paint flow. If water is used, it will muddy the colors. Thanks for watching.
