I know she played a role in the older public too, but that version of her the only thing I know about is that it took place in legends and was never Canon at least that I’m aware of the version of Talon you’re thinking of was legends so not Canon inconsideration in the trailer we see her as a Jedi Survivor it’s most likely that the version of her from the older republic is not what we’re seeing

One time during a meeting for a Darth Maul video game, George Lucas walked over to a shelf and started playing with action figures of Darth Maul and Darth Talon. He said they should be friends. When told they lives centuries apart he suggested Darth Maul be cloned. He later pitched the idea as part of his plan for a sequel trilogy which Disney ignored. It’s finally happening in some form.

You know years back there was supposed to be a darth maul video game with darth talon but got canceled. Guess some thing are meant to be in some way
It wasn't going to be about Maul since devs told George that Darth Talon exists too far in timeline (130+ years arter Episode 6) and she's a part of One Sith faction, with Darth Krayt being her master. So it was going to be some clone or descendant of Maul, devs never really thought it out as game was cancelled by buyout.
The difference is, the game was going to have Darth Talon, this show only has Devon Erza
