Ive been a Mavericks fan my entire life and been taunted all day every day for being a Mavericks fan and wearing Dirks Jersey but i stuck with my team like Dirk and never gave up hope and look at me now :) . A lot of the players on the Dallas Mavericks had unique stories of coming so close to winning an NBA championship but couldn’t get it done, until that remarkable evening. Peja Stojakovic in 2002, Jason Kidd twice in 2002 and 2003, Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry in 2006, Shawn Marion and many more that followed. That’s what made their season and winning the NBA championship so special.
The thing about this 2010-2011 season and post season that memorable was the fact that we did not have butler. With the loss of Butler we were already voted as losing regardless in the first round or against the Lakers. What makes this such an amazing story is that this team regardless of age, regardless of the players injured. They never gave up, they shut all the critics up, they changed the way they were viewed. They beat the heat, and became Americas new favorite team and Dirk became imortal

I don't know about you guys, but when the Coldplay music starts going at the end, it always gets me, and I have seen this video over 10 times. I have become a little girl when it comes to the Mavs.
first off just wanna say freaking awesome video, very well put together. and one of my favorite parts of the video, i really liked how you(and very subtely i might add) started the game 4 against the lakers with the ejections then went on to show the beatdown that lead to it as opposed to the other way. i have been watching the mavs since 99-00 and have never doubted dirks skill but sometimes i lost faith in his heart. never again. MFFL!

I always start to get a little emotional around 3:35 after seeing Don Carter and some of the others. Glad we could get the Lakers back for those Mavs teams in the 80s!
Ahhhh we did it!!! When we lost to Miami in the finals of 06 i never stopped believing. When we lost to the 8th seed Golden State in 07 i never stopped believing. I never stopped believing when we lost to New Orleans in 08 then Denver in 09 and San Antonio in 10...Great players will eventually find a way. Dallas, we did it!!!
