Rufus: “My PR manager told me that donating money to the poor was good for publicity, so I started blasting quarters off the roof.” Reeve: “Damn it, sir! That is NOT what I meant!”
Rufus is a competent enough fighter to match Cloud in a 1v1, so in order to make that come across in the remake they needed to give him a really badass moveset. I think they succeeded
One of the best themes from remake OST. Particularly at 1:05 where they pretty much remix the Shinra theme with the elements of fanfare that FF7 is known for. Brilliant.
@@jsoucy420 Cloud already was, it's that minor cutscenes help show off more of what he can do. Rufus was just not expected. He makes lasers by shooting money. As Truebladeseeker puts it, "Screw the rules, I shoot money".
The little scene with Rufus seeing the time ghosts sort of hints at him having an extended role in the upcoming parts. Which makes sense, since they have to fill up some new content for two more games.
I'm pretty sure in the most recent rebirth trailer its rufus that says the part about "shadows of the man I believe Hojo called them". I def think he is going to be a bigger part in remake. By how much IDK, but I def think they will use him more.
It’s inevitable that his role will be expanded, by nature of his social positioning and connections affording him more knowledge than most about the whispers
This theme kicks as much ass as Rufus did while fighting Cloud!!! (That's a A LOT btw) Other comments have mentioned it, but i just LOVE how they remixed the Shinra Theme as with the Boss battle theme and the regular encounter theme. This is so epic and makes this battle feel like a true BOSS battle.
I didn't figure out triple slash separated him and his hound until my second playthrough on the harder difficulty, the boss fight is sick though so many layers of information
When you and your close niggas from outta state are at a Holiday-Inn for the night because you guys are tired and at 5:56.a.m you are waiting very quietly and patiencely for breakfast but 30 billion Spongebobs are also waiting but as quietly and patiencely.

Vincent Valentine "approve his gunfightning skills" and give a shine to Rufus hehe
Honestly, Rufus was simultaneously the most frustrating boss in the game for me and yet one of my all-time favorites.

Super underrated theme. Love that they made Rufus Shinra so much more badass in the Remake.
He's like a competent Donald Trump Jr
@@Michael-im5mq Don't insult Rufus like that.
@@Michael-im5mqreddit moment. Get them updoots
They made Rufus so badass in that game.
I'm glad they did. That's how I imagined him to be. He's nothing like dear old dad
@@NumeroGaijin Even in ideology he wasn't like his dad and I hope part 2 really emphasizes that.
They also made Cloud badass too :)

They made him better.
Rufus truly "Owned" Cloud during the fight. It's almost hard to believe a rich boy could-oh, wait...Batman?!
he did?
That’s not how I remember it going down lol
He put up an extremely good fight but owned hardly Sephiroth is the only person who really trounced Cloud.
OH MY GOD IT'S BATMAN WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!
Running to your corporate chopper like a coward when things get dicey is hardly "owning" someone
I love how badass they made him.
Considering how damn cool they made him, I hope they give Rufus and expanded presence in the future parts. Maybe another boss fight or two.

I hope that in the second part of the game, during the Welcoming Ceremony, we face him again, epic or even more than this fight.
Shinra's Theme: Music to oppress you to.
Rufus Shinra's theme: Music to kick your ass to.
This theme is extra good
I'm kinda liking their unique spins to the "boss" themes the og ff7 had and gave it a face-lift.

I love when he looks at the camera after saying "it's just the two of us" and says "don't sweat the small stuff"
That slow buildup from 2:25 and onwards is my favorite part here.
Amazing boss 👏 amazing theme 👏
One of the best fights in gaming history with a killer soundtrack to match. This is classy.
Glad to hear this made a return in some combat sim challenges for rebirth.
They did one helluva job with every single track in this game
I didn't figure out triple slash separated him and his hound until my second playthrough on the harder difficulty, the boss fight is sick though so many layers of information
@Gotham I’ll probably be same in the original where he forms a ceremony
It does?! I just used the defense counter in Punisher mode. Whenever his dog attacks you it flips it to the side and disconnects them.
..........I've played it 4 times...... I....Really? Don't tell me such things 😭😂
Rufus has a unique counter if you use focus thrust on him even
1:05 will always live rent free in my head. Whoever made these decisions is a master of their craft.
3:50 - Oh, WOW, you can do Stop on him.
This song is great and was a welcome surprise to hear in the combat simulator
This fight would've been over in seconds if Barret and Tifa were there to help.
Cloud knows it that's why he decided to do it solo
X1 Man. This is Fair.
Ya but Cloud was focused on getting Areieth to safety.
His theme is UNDERATTED
I swear 2 Limits saved me on this fight, one for each of them
Rufus fight gave me more sweat than Sephi at the end, he was so kicking my ass before I figured him out
Yeah, he really forces you to think differently compared to the other boss fights.
1:17, OH MY GOODNESS
2:15
Hey rufus!! Mikoto misaka called, she wants her attack back!!
Mr vice president 😒
Mr president 😃
This was also Shinra Company"s slow theme
1:17
How can a battle be the hardest but also the easiest?
4:28 terceira parte da música que realmente é boa.

WHY IS THIS VIDEO SO QUIET
