As someone who's played Calamity even more than that (I've probably racked up over a thousand hours in Calamity in total), and sometimes I have to catch myself before I comment and remind myself that *any* game will become easy if you invest hundreds of hours into it.

There was a 66% damage reduction item that drops from the calamitas clone when defeated in hell. It reduces damage by 66% aswell but its insanely useful for providence, polterghast, and supreme calamitas.

about the egg shrine, the chances of finding it seem to be multiplied by like 10x on mushroom biomes so maybe try searching there if you still want, i found it pre-eoc while digging my hellevator, looks like an enchanted sword shrine but it's an eg instead
bro i'm currently playing master mode infernum as one of the biggest challanges i've ever done in modded terraria, but i swear i i'll never have the courage to play this in mediumcore, more painful than this, only playing eternity mode from fargo's souls togheter with death mode from calamity in a for the worthy seed
i always come to this video if im ever struggling with infernum bosses because it makes me feel better to know that someone else has struggled on that exact boss for 10x as long
I had never felt such a sense of betrayal than when I had originally heard that they disabled Draedon's Gamer Chair for the SCal fight. A bullet-hell boss without bullet-hell controls is, well, Hell.
The Profaned Guardians made me lose my mind, I just turned on God mode and hate killed them. And the. Providence happened. That being said, I’ve decided I’m not good enough to play Infernum just yet, so I’m doing Master/Death to get used to it.
now, I get there's a whole "don't care didn't ask" aspect to this entire comment I'm about to type, but honestly I've got a bit of an issue with infernum. it is difficult and fun, no doubt, but the difficulty is extremely inconsistent, in my opinion. some bosses you can clear first try (cough cough Brimstone Elemental, she felt unfinished for me? I saw the death animation and I thought she was gonna change to a laser beam desperation phase, but she just dies) and some you can spend literal hours retrying (holy hell I hate the Slime God, two thirds of my attempts were lost to it despawning itself in its solo phase cause I was dodging trying not to die), some parts dont feel too well playtested (golem especially for me, I've literally never had the arena generate correctly and the spike sans attack (don't know what else to call it) you almost REQUIRE infinite flight time to get past without tanking one or two hits, Aquatic Scourge as well since that tornado attack is near undodgable), at least in my opinion. also, needless to say but multiplayer doesn't work almost at all, nor was it intended to, but given how broken some parts were it was literally impossible to finish a playthrough without just butchering some bosses (worm bosses especially were broken), but again, it wasn't intended to work with multiplayer (even though that's a good amount of playthroughs people do) so I won't hold it against the mod too much, but I find it a bit strange to not put out a fix for that at all. anyways, most of the bosses were, in general, pretty well balanced, but they don't feel very well balanced in comparison to each other in terms of their spot in progression. basically almost all of them are pretty well designed, I just feel like they did too much with some of them and didnt do enough with others. also, it gets pretty damn laggy at some points in the game (EoL my behated, it wasn't even the flashy attacks that did my FPS in it was that basic one where she went side to side and threw out a bunch of blades and a wall of them occasionally) could all of these complaints I have just be skill issues? maybe, I won't rule that out, but this entire rant is just my opinion, it's in no way a "this is what I think EVERYONE'S opinion should be!!" kind of thing, it's just my personal take on the mod from my playthrough on it, feel free to form your own opinions on it
Also, I tend to find the egg sword in the mushroom biome. I've actually found multiple. But it only seems to drop one. It's still craftable, but you don't get the Dev Wish.
Skeleton is KNOWN as a skill check in infernum and I've seen many people just quit because skeleton is too hard Also I think u might need help after profaned gurdians

Deerclops Wall of Flesh The Twins Skeltron Prime Brimmy Elemental Cal Shadow Astrum Aureus Golem Empress of Light Lunatic Cultist Astrum Deus Moon Lord Profaned Guardians Providence Adult Eidolon Wyrm / Terminus Exo Mechs SCal All in all, 17 of Infernum's 43 bosses (around 40% of them) have a Death Ray.

Im about 75% of the way through my Infernum 1HP playthrough but having to reorganize your inventory after every death sounds like the most frustrating thing known to man
This run is genuinely impressive. Id imagine it'd be an absolute nightmare to sort your inventory each time. Especially since, in my infernium playthrough, i died a minimum of 7 times per boss
Uhm acthually you have to do it on hardcore zenith seed legendary mode infernum eternity malice mode for me to be impressed, this run is quite a rubbish difficulty.
You have joined Us the ones who beat mediumcore infurnum, good job CJ Your one of us now, we love new additions to our community, and you took this way faster than I did. One last thing When you're trying to do something like this, and you can drop your items if you die bring a chest and quick deposit everything in one or two chests.
Calamity adds an option to bind dashes to a single key. I have it bound to middle click. I don't wanna take my fingers off my mouse or WASD and space. I also have Rage and Adrenaline bound to my side mouse buttons. Also, Grand Staff of the Nebula Mage is a pretty good magic weapon. Totally no bias. Upon introduction, it was rather underwhelming, but it got buffed at some point and can kinda keep up with fast bosses! Even better against mostly stationary bosses.
One tip I have for people struggling with yharon or for dashing bosses in general is to set your dash double tap override in your controls. It took me 500 attempts for D.O.G to finish and I couldn't time my dashes with yharon's spam dashing phase and right after I set my dash keybind to my mouse I immediately won in my 14th attempt. Im not sure if this works for everyone but it really helped me a TON
i mean master death mode is the hardest it can get (outside of hardcore) for the official calamity mod. Infurnum is a fan made extension so you technically did beat the second hardest challenge calamity had to offer lol
Fyi, the "massive laser wall" forgotten shadow of calamitas shoots only happens if you are too far away from her during the attack where she makes a big ball above her that shoots lasers.

Great job on beating infernum! Anyways, time to bestow a fact that has made everyone that has tried it hate their lives exponentially: there is an infernum master and legendary mode patch so you can play infernum on those difficulties. Do what you will with that information

1:04:20 I have fond memories of fighting this boss with a friend because when we did it broke and kept spawning so we had to race to kill 1 of it before the hundreds of itself decided to murder us.
This video was amazing! Also, 3 QoL mods that would help a lot with videos like this are QoL Compendium (this mod it's like a better Alchemist NPC), Fargo's Mutant and Tokens. Those 3 mods help a lot with farming and make things like building arenas, getting rare items and farming WAY less time consuming.

I feel like the bosses would be the easiest part of medium core. You'll have likely died in a very specific arena that isn't impossible to return to, especially for the lunar events and everything after because very few bosses are fought outside of the surface and a good chunk can be fought at spawn. However, subworlds might throw a wrench into that. If you die in a subworld and return to the spawn of your main world, it's entirely possible that all of your items are erased from existance forever, with no possible way to retrieve them. I have just started this video so I have yet to see if this will come up with Infernum's secret desert superboss.

Not to undermine this achievment, but I'd like to see you try the "Get Fixed Boi" seed on calamity, they added a few funny things to it :)

At 7:21 the king slime in earlier versions (like 2 months ago) would actually have the ninja break free and chase you around throwing ninja stars
That's still how the boss works, he just didn't notice the ninja.
Gotta say i didn't destroy my world to make a arena and i just used the sky and surface which was a very big problem for a big amount of bosses

I feel like the bosses would be the easiest part of medium core. You'll have likely died in a very specific arena that isn't impossible to return to, especially for the lunar events and everything after because very few bosses are fought outside of the surface and a good chunk can be fought at spawn.
However, subworlds might throw a wrench into that. If you die in a subworld and return to the spawn of your main world, it's entirely possible that all of your items are erased from existance forever, with no possible way to retrieve them. I have just started this video so I have yet to see if this will come up with Infernum's secret desert superboss.

Dude, old duke also took me 5 hours on summoner. I wanted to throw my head against a wall, I’m really resisting cussing the boss out right now.
Anything above softcore makes we wanna cease homeostasis.
You managed to do two things to me with this video.
1. Make me think mediumcore is fun.
2. Make me never want to try infernum.
