Lol, don't call it "martial" arts and cry when your opponent uses day one basic self-defense techniques. This is a highly regulated contact sport. Let's face it, MMA is now glorified wrestling with the occasional strike. Not practical for real-world self-defense. Get rid of the gloves and referee and the crybaby wrestler would have been helpless, especially if he had multiple attackers, lmao.

@@nicholasbrassard3512 Context fool. MMA has been decrying its practical use since its inception. I love combat sports but I love sports that honestly depict what they are and not spend decades bashing traditional practices. MMA, will never admit even with the evidence inherent in its rules that it ultimately became a bastion for amateur grapplers to find a way to make money while touting in its own name something completely different. So on occasion I like pointing out its own glaring misnomer, lmao. BTW, is martial arts literally a term of art, lol? So don't be a butt hurt purist, your precious sport is thriving, albeit more boring than ever. It's here to stay.
