I did it again... The 4.0x Flip does help, and looks almost identical to the VLK and Scout Combat, just didn't make it into the video somehow. -12% recoil magnitude and -20% horiz. bounce. Sorry about that.

I’ve just spent the last 30 minutes trying out the different optics and the effect is now very noticeable. Excellent work and thanks for breathing new life back into the game. I never use high zoom optics. Now, let the games begin.
You have to update on your site that these optics changes the recoil mag and horizontal bounce for more accurate building/stats. Right now the VLK is the only one showing some benefits :) keep up the good work!
Same, I instantly noticed that when I use the red dot on the Canted Hybrid that it looks so much smoother than a nromal red dot. I've known this for months but its good to see statistical confirmation of these things from TGD.
@@fatbob1999 That's because the red dot on hybrids is a negative magnification. 0.92x, so it visually appears to have less recoil - this is further proof that confidence and placebo play a large part in someone's ability to control "recoil" in CoD.
Idea for quantifying horizontal bounce: generate a nonlinear curve fit for the recoil pattern, then use a squared horizontal error or distance measurement for each raw data point relative to the curve.
He did, he used a polynomial curve fit in his last video. He also already said here that it's too much work to just do for all scopes but it might come in the future.

I do want to ask something though; in an earlier vid, you said that Recoil Stabilization not only affects horizontal variance, but also affects "visual recoil" and where the reticle goes when firing. Do the sights also have that effect on "visual recoil"?
Bro I was using the canted hybrid, everyone told me I was a noob.. why would I use it?.. and now you video comes up. It’s nice to see the actual stats and know that I’m not crazy. Also I believe some attachments act different for different guns. E.g the sa87 seems to have better the recoil when attached with mono supressor than compensator.
Not only do the Cronen and Canted Hybrid optics reduce recoil moreso, but they're have the most clear optics of the scopes. The VLK and especially the Scout optics both have awfully large frames around the scope itself.
It's my favorite on the Kar. You still get to reload the clip instead of single bullets using the sniper scope. Plus people don't get to see the glint and is so satisfying hearing them on the death coms.
@@Bamapride1985 you can do the same with the hdr or SPR. It's great because of how flat the HDR is, combined with no glint it's amazing how many teams you just murder.

Love your work thank you for your commitment I would like to point out that if you go into ads multiplyer you will find the option called MONITOR DISTANCE COEFFICIENT if you increase it from 1.33 to nearly 1.5 you will find that you only need to compensate for recoil the same amount with a VLK as iron sight which helps with recoil control on higher zoom optics (instead of changing high zoom multiplier which messes with my sniper sensitivity)
Finally I have an excuse to replace that fugly VLK. But which to go with, Scout or Cronen? Hmmm.... ADS time seems to be linear to the zoom level, and all three seem to provide the same recoil benefits. Will have to choose based on how clear the sight picture is. Going to need to goof around in the firing range for a bit
Great video again, nice work. Quick inquiry! Looking into the AMAX right away to get a comparison of ADS times with VLK vs Canted and encountered an issue. Though the VLK is +21ms ADS and the Canted is +46ms, the ADS time doesn’t add up for the weapon. The ADS with VLK looks like it should add to 388 or 413 with canted but the sight was showing 444 and 505 respectively. The other attachments were monolithic, zodiac, commando, and 45rd mag. Is this due to some attachments adding ADS non-linearly based on other attachments, the same as what the Tac laser does with ADS reduction? Is there a way to tell which attachment(s) do this? Or is this just an adding error? Thanks for your time.

@@xkidgey I’ve heard PC players mention this too, but on PS4, the Hybrid Optics are nearly UNUSABLE for me due to the Optic Toggle being on the same Thumbstick as Sprint. Even if I try really hard not to hit sprint, it still happens like 1 in every 4 times I aim down my sights in a gunfight.
This is great! I always thought the VLK was kind of hart to look through, because the scope itself is pretty thick. Now I can use the Squad-Combat-Optic and not feeling I miss out on that hidden recoil control. Nice!
The thing that i couldnt explain in my video was if optics with more zoom than 3x are worth using due to there being more recoil you have to adjust for but this explains a bit more, cheers.

After watching your video I tested the ADS speed of the 3.X sights on a PKM (longest barrel, taclaser, snatch grip, the aiming stability stock) by counting frames, and I found the following (60 fps): Canted: 32, scout combat/cronen/integralhybrid: 30, VLK: 27. This is slightly different from your ADS Speed data on your website. I will consider switching to the integral hybrid, because in emergency situations I sometimes use the PKM in CQB. Edit: Also, the Scope choice doesnt really matter on a PKM with snatch grip, as you can see here: i.imgur.com/635Xq1L.png Btw, you inspired me to try it out instead of the Kilo, and now I switched "permanently" :)

In previous CoD installments acog has no place. But in MW 2019 they actually address it properly.

I've been using the cronen 3.5 on my pkm for a while now and since it is already quite accurate, the cronen helps at ranges past 100m
I firmly believe that the cronen reduces recoil more than the scout on the pkm.

Doesnt the canted give you lower ADS speed than VLK? I'm also prone to fat fingering the transition button (controller), so I moved away from it.

Trade off tho. Running it with standard AR attachments will really hurt your ADS speed compared to a VLK or holo sight.
