Thank you so much for posting this. I've always enjoyed all the BBC dance orchestras. But in particular, Henry Hall. Not only that, when he was a young man, was he a handsome one too. That's all you needed back then. But he had more, he had real talent.

Were there a woman oboe player in the orchestra?
Not that I am aware of. In 1932 young oboist Richard Matthews was in the BBC Dance Orchestra for 9 months, but wasn't replaced.
