Heard these stories almost daily. Finally on the radar. Stories taught me just how cruel and arrogant people in healthcare can be. Yet these are the people we're forced to trust with our lives. Gratitude goes out to those who humbly and genuinely take care of us to the best of their abilities.
After learning about these kinds of things ive been training to train my intuition by using those guessing games and poker and such. One thing I learned is that it isn't in the form of thoughts. Each instance has similar or even vastly different experiences. The crucial point is that no possible experience is omitted. Every possible experience is realized in an existing world. We, as observers perceiving ourselves as a singular "I," effectively take a sample from this set of existing worlds through our existence and call this our life. There is no mechanism in physical reality that describes this selection, as the selection itself is not part of physical reality. It has no explanation in the world and is therefore a mystery. The thesis behind the idea of "real magic" is that the experiencing consciousness has the means to actively choose the specific path through the space of possible quantum states because there is no physical law to which it is subject. The occurrence of this choice appears to an observer as if they are influencing an event in the world with their consciousness. However, this influence is only apparent. In reality, the choice is about which consciousness from the set of alternative worlds we experience as our current, experiencing consciousness. From the perspective of this consciousness, it appears as an influence on circumstances in the world. I feel that I can physically explain the phenomenon quite well. What's still mysterious to me is how consciousness can approach the choice of a specific path in state space. It may revolve around these: Intuition, Intention, belief, conviction, concentration, "feeling", "manifestation", visualization. It's difficult to put the finger onto something concrete.
He is just scratching the surface. 40 years ago I came across a book - it said you can manipulate clouds with your attention on it and willing it to dissipate. This was easy when I was a child but can now do it again with little effort. Where do you think luck comes from - you have a belief that you are lucky and your subconscious takes up the idea and manipulates the would around you to make your belief come true. I have since gathered a lot more information along those lines that helps in changing the would around you using different methods. If you follow the path far enough you get to the stage where you can develop different abilities .
Even the CIA has researched and given positive results to Qi-Gong meditation, and the Monroe Institute's The Gateway Experience tapes, as well as the work of Mexican nueroscientist Jacobo Grinberg.
This physical reality is somewhat more "hardened" than, for example, the reality in a dream state. But the principles remain the same, you get what you believe - just with some kind of temporal delay and within the laws of nature in this particular reality. You just have to be convinced without a doubt. To reach this conviction, one has to enter gnosis and this is where all the different "systems" come into play. Be it law of attraction, assumption, ceremonial magick, chaos magick, wicca, etc. Choose what vibes with you the best and what gets you into gnosis. From that point, your world changes.
Through focused intention and elevated emotion we are creating a gravitational relationship between ourselves and the future event. Because the future exists strickly in a probabilistic state what we are actually doing us shifting the probabilites into our favor. But focused intention and elevated emotion are the spiritual practices but action is typically required for the best results.

The third option here and something which I think Mr. Radin has missed is that there is a feedback loop between the inside and the outside. Even in martial arts, the martial artist always observes his posture, his steady breathing, heartbeat, focus, determination, inner stillness, composure, self awareness, etc.

From a quantum perspective, the concepts of mediators versus "magic" in the context of intention and action effects can be interpreted through the lens of quantum mechanics, particularly when exploring phenomena like entanglement, non-locality, and observer effects. In classical physics, mediators-such as particles, forces, or fields-transmit interactions between objects. For instance, photons mediate electromagnetic forces, and gluons mediate the strong nuclear force. These mediators follow the laws of causality, working within the space-time fabric to produce observable, predictable effects. In quantum physics, however, the relationship between cause and effect is not always straightforward. Quantum entanglement suggests that two particles, once connected, can affect each other instantaneously across vast distances without any classical mediator-seeming to act almost "magically" or mysteriously. This non-local interaction defies the classical idea of direct mediation and points toward a deeper, less understood reality where intention and effect could be intricately linked. When examining intention and action effects, quantum mechanics introduces the idea that the act of observation (or the "intention" behind measurement) can collapse a quantum system into a definite state. This observer effect implies that the mere intention to observe or measure a system plays a role in determining its outcome. Some interpretations, such as the quantum mind or consciousness theories, posit that human intention might influence quantum systems in subtle ways, although this remains speculative. In comparison, "magic" in this context might represent the intuitive, non-scientific belief that intention can directly shape reality without an observable mediator, akin to how entanglement appears to defy classical notions of space and time. Quantum mechanics, while grounded in empirical science, offers strange parallels to this idea by revealing that the universe operates in ways that are not always governed by classical cause-and-effect relationships. Thus, from a quantum perspective, the distinction between mediated effects (through particles or forces) and seemingly "magical" effects (such as entanglement or observer-driven outcomes) challenges our understanding of reality. It suggests that intention, action, and effect might be more interconnected than classical physics allows, with quantum mechanics opening up new questions about the nature of causality and consciousness in shaping physical reality.
I believe the entanglement effect isn't an interaction between entangled particles but is instead a post hoc revealing of the mirrored information contained in these tiny energy packages because they share the same source. They're, in essence, both pointed interpretations of the same wave form. This doesn't imply an involvement of intention as much as it implies an involvement of perception. It's evidence for a sort of panexperientialism, as well as a previously unaccounted for scale relativity where certain kinds of interaction outside of a specific scale differential require an intermediary form of information collecting to give us an implicit form of its information content. In my view, we haven't cracked the quantum gravity problem because we haven't understood that the backdrop of what we call consciousness (pure subjective potential) literally *is* time. Scale relativity is governed by a relative interpretation of the speed of light, dependent on the inter-interpretive contextualization of a system or nexus of interactions between particles - or from our perspective when talking about quantum phenomena - wave forms. We already understand that gravity is time dilation governed by mass, but we haven't grasped the mechanism of that dilation because our intuition is to put that onus onto the existence of mass as a constant instead of as a relativistic phenomenon. Large systems of context-establishing particle interactions will perceive the speed of light differently than will a more or less massive system of this nature. "Observation" doesn't materialize a quantum effect, it simply locally contextualizes it.
My sense is that the "now" is where everything becomes concrete, and the future is hazy within certain constraints but as yet not fully decided. You can put your mark on it, within those constraints, to *intend* it to come out a certain way. But given that there are constraints (from other people's intentions, or greater movements, or limited flexibility within the situation) you can't totally control the future. But you can attempt to direct things towards your preferred outcome, or at least negotiate a path within the constraints that is "least bad". The trouble with scientific experiments to determine whether psychic phenomena exist is that there is not just the intention of the subject, but also the intention of the scientists (for example to disprove the effect), interacting together to produce a result. You can't have just any scientist lead the experiment. It needs to be someone who is neutral about the result. Or else the experiment has to be designed in such a way that the intention of the scientists is neutralised or cancelled out, and only the intention of subject is being measured. I like the way Dean Radin is talking. Hopefully he can make some good discoveries.
I have a background in physics and have put together an explanation of the phenomenon based on quantum theory. In see no specific hurdle to physically prove the effect Mr. Radin is referring to because it is manifesting in the same way as any other measurable physical phenomenen. The main problem seems to be that most "serious" physiscist avoid the topic because they suspect that somthing "supernatural" is involved. What Dean calls "real magic" is the apparent ability of consciousness to influence quantum events. Fascinating discussion, thank you. I have a question- have you considered working with lightworkers or energy healers? Lightworkers work to affect the physical world but we do it by working in other realms, or in the inner world (like meditators) working on an energy level to affect the physical world. I don't know if you would include Lightworkers in your definition of Magicians. There are many traditions often with quite a bit of overlap between them. Energy healers also work on energy and vibration but do so directly here in the physical realm. At least that's my understanding from my own experience. Fantastic that you're doing this work, really interesting.
Thankyou so much for your video and for your work, l can't believe how far behind we are, I'm guessing we know it, it's just the proving that can't be done, it's actually lack of thought that does the most damage
The wave attaches to our observing consciousness, so we become included in the outcome and the particle component as debris moves through and presents as such.
Viva! Conscious Awareness with knowledge and intent is the key. Due to a accident and loss of Accurate Vision on my left eye, back in 2001, I was forced to practice constant espacial awareness which helps a lot on this process of Conscious Awareness on our Most Simple choices ie discard packaging.
Then the question presents itself: where is the line between doing and being? I don't think that line can be drawn. There is no doubt that focussed attention withour physical action can have long distance effects. Is that doing or being?
This is also where I feel yoga would be an interesting area for study since yoga is about harnessing the internal and the external. In fact, yoga, means to yoke. The breath is the bridge between the internal and external worlds - the seen and the unseen. the known and the unknown.
Practitioner of Buddhist based internal practice, sitting in awareness, sitting in the moment, maintaining that awareness, opening up myself to potential through internal process. Yet, I am also a practitioner of external esoteric practice. My internal practices have no doubt had a positive effect on my external esoteric practices as far as manifestation. This is subjective I understand but still my experience on this path. People comment like they know how matters of such really work but it is really all subjective in my opinion. No one know the ultimate truth.
Thanks this is a nice brief overview. I tend to grasp more understanding each time I listen read observe the study. I think what I need is the definition of observation and where it's coming from i.e. human and animal eyes? Camera? Computer? Dark room light room? What techniques have been used and what have been the results of each? Heading down this rabbit hole see you later! Lol
Love your work Dr Radin. So, what do you call it when you start meditating under the stars internally and the external “lights” start interacting in the sky? Is it possible that some “observers” can collapse the wave function of things normally not seen? Thanks for the knowledge!🤙🏼✌🏼😊
@brandonb5075 Consider that our experience of an inner world and an outer world are but a trick of language causing an indoctrination about the existence of a physical universe and a non-physical mental space we call mind or consciousness that we think is located in our brain which is contained in our skull. When we take birth, we are told by the existing body of humanity who and what we are, and as we grow and develop we take our place alongside all the others who have done the same for generations before us. To enter this world is to step onto an invisible treadmill upon which rides the questions, what is a self, and who is my self? This is what underpins what we call a human life. Do you have an idea that you think of as you? In defining our selves as a separate self whose mental state is a non-physical phenomena that exists in a brain in a skull we assume the mantle of certain limitations that we will live within for the rest of our lives. This is what is called normal. What Radin refers to as "real magic" is the observation that some experiences seem to exist in spite of the limitations that existing science says are impossible to exceed. Obviously they are happening, so the implication is that science itself is deficient in its ability to ascertain what is happening with these "exceptions" to its rules. So here's my take. What if there is no actual distinction between an inner and outer reality? What if ideas of inner and outer are but characteristic *territories* or unique strata on a continuum of experience so that when you meditate on light and then open your eyes, you notice that stars have become mobile and start gliding around in the sky? Quantum Physics is telling us there is no such thing as a thing. If the universe is one complete infinite phenomena, then who are we to think that the localization of a point in consciousness we label "I" is not one with the stars and everything else that can be named? Consciousness is what gives rise to all perception and definition. There is nowhere that it is not. I'm so bold as to say, believe not what you think, but what you experience directly. The stars dance with you and for you because at essence we ARE the stars and they ARE us.
I wish he would have described what this test was. What does "did better" mean when comparing magicians to mediators? Also, if martial artists did well on the test for the reasons stated here, wouldn't that apply just as much to people who play a lot of highly focused videogames like dark souls?
6:52 I’m interested in learning more about this. I have relationships and interest in the internally focused world, but I am more naturally externally focused. Both have elements of developing internal, but I find it difficult to find methods to nurture/develop/expand external focused practices without paying for memberships or something, whereas natural internal focus is always accessible and free. It’s kind of bumming me out.
Great work much appreciated. Actually I have never seen the results of the double slit experiment with a photon detector. I have seen the ones with interference patterns (without detectors) and I have seen simulations or actual experiments with sand or balls showing two stacks on the other side of the slots often accompanied with the commentary that it is what we should expect to see when light behaves as a particle. Do you have references to experiments we can see about my inquiry above. Thx and Namaste.
October 2023, I made it rain. Stopped a bushfire from spreading intotown. Prayer was involve. I won't disclose my magical powers. God answered my prayer.
Mind over matter...... It has happened to me too many times to be meer coincidence, and it is said that we only use about 8% of our brains...... Imagine if we could use total brain power.....
I wonder if probabilistic quantum math could predict answers to questions on ESP? I've heard it said that prayer, even when the person prayed for doesn't know it, has the same probability of helping as the placebo effect. Doesn't that seem probabilistic to you too?
I would be curious to know how much time is given between setting attention and result of the slit test experiment, as FMRI scans have proven that our brain makes decisions before conscious awareness of those decisions. So one could say where one ‘decides’ to place attention (observation) happens before conscious awareness of the decision and perhaps it is not us who are deciding the result by observing, but the result tells us what we have observed. The results of the FMRI scan infers that consciousness may not be happening BY us but THROUGH us. It’s like the Buddhist teachings of one is not their thoughts. Added with The split brain experiment which has proven that we hold multiple ‘modules’ of consciousness in different areas of the brain, and that we have yet to actually define what we mean by consciousness, just as we have yet to define what we mean by observation, the study may be biased in its definition of “magic” as well. I believe it was Aristotle who said "In a shorter time more will be known about the most remote world, namely that of the stars, than about the most nearby topic, namely perception."
IONS did do experiments, (or it might have been Dean when he was with PEAR ) to detect the sequence of attention, consciousness and observed results. It appeared that pure conscious intent can affect events in the past. Lots to think about when time becomes non linear.
How about this explanation for the double slit experiment described at 4:30 min: Because you placed the photon detector behind one of the slits you blocked it and it is not a double slit experiment any more, hence the result is different from the classic double slit experiment.

Why would Dean want to communicate with an AI ? Dean is seeking real knowledge not information channeled from an individual imagination , see Carl Jung Active Imagination
This is so old this information. I read a book about 53 years ago called (I believe) Consciously Creating Circumstances’. Many rocks were carved and books written on ‘manifesting’ reality over the last few thousand years or more.
A psychedelic experience isn't a shift in consciousness, it's a shift in conscious content. Consciousness is just always what it is. On or off. Perceiving or not. However, there's a near infinite scale of complexity to its content depending on the tools of perception. I know that probably seems nitpicky, but people get this mixed up all too often and it *does* have some very important implications towards how we interpret the "nature of consciousness" as subjective beings. Missing the forest for the trees so to speak.
I've tried experiments myself, and I get statistically positive results over short runs. How on earth do I build something useful though? Just the ability to send or receive a single bit of information reliably is all I'm looking for. No success so far.
Hmm. I get a tickle in my mind watching Dean talk that makes me think the room behind him is not real, but is a mental image that he is projecting into my mind. Just for confirmation, someone please look at the backdrop behind him - you do see purple computer workstations to left and right, yes? And a really huge painting of fruit spanning the entire back wall? (I think it may be Dutch.) Just let me know I'm not crazy... thanks.
I would love to understand what they’re talking about. I don’t think it’s very clear. What is the purpose of the experiment, what were the exoteric practitioners able to do, exactly? Can someone tell me because I’m almost done with the video and I have a feeling it’s not gonna tell me what the point of all this was.
In physics terms you become entangled with that system either way. You become part of the system. Then in principle you should be able to influence it, or if by some means through your consciousness you can avoid knowing the result (avoiding waveform collapse), then maybe (who knows) you can postpone the outcome becoming concrete. But whatever you do, you're still influencing it because you're part of the experimental system now.
@@richardpaschal2218 The point at which wavefunction collapse occurs is what is still under debate, and still being investigated. We suppose that consciousness (or an "observer") causes wavefunction collapse when they see either one result or the other. Yes, it's a good question whether perception (processing through the brain's visual system for example) is enough of consciousness to cause wavefunction collapse. No thought, no emotion, is pretty hard for a human. But I think as we get closer to that state in practice (e.g. walking meditation), things become weirder. It may be that there is less of the kind of "consciousness" that causes things to become definite. Orthodox physics supposes that you can't maintain uncollapsed wavefunctions when entangled with complex systems like the brain. However let's say that you can. In that case it may be that maintaining a completely still mind would allow you to maintain the result as not-yet-defined. But the moment you or another observer engage in "observation" it would become concrete. Quantum states are incredibly fragile, so this seems quite hard to pull off. But normal science has been gradually achieving entangled uncollapsed quantum states on greater and greater scales, so we don't yet know what's possible.
Many say that the “world” and everything that occurs in it arises and sets in each individual “consciousness”. It cannot be anything but subjective. Consciousness is never objective.
Theyve known for thousands of years what intent is, all of its implications, and how it can be used to ones advantage. Its possible they knew more than we will ever know with how warped pur perception of reality has become
I'm not a scientist but I'm a deep thinker so I have a question for this very smart man,who puts the certain waves in front of us so we collapse the wave function and a car or an hoover appears, this is the big question scientists need to ask
The energy takes all possible vectors, it is in interference with itself when it is acting point like. These positions are where the waves interfere. In reality, the one we don't perceive correctly, the energy takes the shape of a growing sphere. The not sphereness that we observe are a result of our own vector of perspective in spacetime. But the reality of timelessness experienced at speed c , that perspective has energy as growing bubbles that pop when they touch each other. The pop is the function collapse in that point of spacetime and is a real location.

All of the laws in this and every possible universe are governed by measurable metrics. Science is a tool and magic is what it explains. Life and existence are magical. We can express their metrics and causality in units but without our lived experience these facts mean nothing. It's the awe and wonder that makes us chase the facts in the first place that is magical. Magic is life. It gives us the ability not only to express beauty but to conceive of and even experience beauty. Separating them into distinct and separate categories doesn't make sense in the best case scenario and discredits them both and sets them against each other in the worst case scenario
My uninformed theory to explain quantum effects is that the quantum field is the field of thoughts. Locally perhaps one observer can effect tiny changes. For bigger effects there would need to be more minds involved. If this is true, then humans could possibly unite to fix world problems. Unfortunately it seems that one charismatic evil leader is enough to influence the entire world. Evil should not be acceptable.
I don't believe that you can effect anything in the physical world with a thought because there is no interaction between a thought and a physical object. But we may be able to choose between alternative worlds to experience. To the observing consciousness this looks like it has brought about a change.
IMO, all human minds are having a very real impact upon events all the time. For the most part, those effects are hidden from us. But the influence is real. nevertheless.

Do you folks at the Institute want a 40-year master practitioner of the Occult? I've been traveling around the Americas for about 25 years teaching people how to tap into magick like this, and I've seen massive results everywhere I've gone.
Well at least someone is running controlled, repeatable experiments to gather real data rather then running with anecdotes and mystical experiences like most people do.
How about who intentionally attempts both? Shifting the internal & deliberately writing the external story… seeing results within 6 months within consensus reality. Fun stuff 😄
One possible reason is that there are many millions of people playing a given lottery game and each one is pulling for his own number combination to win, so this greatly diminishes the effect of one or even several magicians. The really interesting experiment would be to somehow get tens of millions of players to play the same combination and to also focus their attention on that combination at the time of the drawing.
observing doesn`t influemce the observed. BUT!! if there is an attachment from the observer to the observed or manipulation in every form. or mind is involved it becomes an influencer of the obeserved.

Where do you think luck comes from - you have a belief that you are lucky and your subconscious takes up the idea and manipulates the would around you to make your belief come true. I have since gathered a lot more information along those lines that helps in changing the would around you using different methods.

Well said
I think it’s his book SuperNormal that discusses the rigorous techniques they’ve developed to deal with that very issue.
To understand the relationship between quantum effects and consciousness, one must accept the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics. What we experience as a singular "I" is actually a multitude of "selves" that reside in the so-called multiverse. However, this is not noticeable because the hallmark of "experience" is its singularity-we experience ourselves not as many, but as one person. This is because each "instance" of our self experiences only itself and has no access to the actual multiplicity of its being. The group of our "selves" moves together through the statistical landscape of possible quantum states described by the Schrödinger equation. Each instance has similar or even vastly different experiences. The crucial point is that no possible experience is omitted. Every possible experience is realized in an existing world. We, as observers perceiving ourselves as a singular "I," effectively take a sample from this set of existing worlds through our existence and call this our life.
Up to this point, this description corresponds to established quantum theory and adds nothing to it.What Mr. Radin calls "real magic" comes into play with the mystery surrounding the question of why I experience myself as this one "I," and not as one of the others.

Yes, intention absolutely affects the physical world. It does so as soon as you follow your intentions with appropriate actions.

This is also where I feel yoga would be an interesting area for study since yoga is about harnessing the internal and the external. In fact, yoga, means to yoke. The breath is the bridge between the internal and external worlds - the seen and the unseen. the known and the unknown.
Dean Radin's book Supernormal: Science, Yoga, and the Evidence for Extraordinary Psychic Abilities addresses this.

Yet, I am also a practitioner of external esoteric practice. My internal practices have no doubt had a positive effect on my external esoteric practices as far as manifestation. This is subjective I understand but still my experience on this path. People comment like they know how matters of such really work but it is really all subjective in my opinion.
Fascinating!!
I feel this is too short. It's an introduction. I'd like more - in depth, i.e. not more people, but longer interviews. Thank you!

I've heard it said that prayer, even when the person prayed for doesn't know it, has the same probability of helping as the placebo effect. Doesn't that seem probabilistic to you too?
Would love to see you do this with Grandmaster Wolf.
I believe it was Aristotle who said
"In a shorter time more will be known about the most remote world, namely that of the stars, than about the most nearby topic, namely perception."
Yes and have you ever heard of any other experiment that got the same result? This is the only experiment I've ever heard of.

Question: If you observe but only with pure perception sans any thought and/or emotion, does the proton change its behavior?
In physics terms you become entangled with that system either way. You become part of the system. Then in principle you should be able to influence it, or if by some means through your consciousness you can avoid knowing the result (avoiding waveform collapse), then maybe (who knows) you can postpone the outcome becoming concrete. But whatever you do, you're still influencing it because you're part of the experimental system now.
@@uazuazu what would happen though if the observer was only pure perception? No thought. No emotion.
So what is the opposite of ptsd?
Many say that the “world” and everything that occurs in it arises and sets in each individual “consciousness”. It cannot be anything but subjective. Consciousness is never objective.

Yes we observe but who's putting the waves there in the 1st place
there's a book called whispers of manifestation on borlest , and it talks about how using some secret tehniques you can attract almost everything in life it's not some bullshit law of attraction, it's the real deal
Do you folks at the Institute want a 40-year master practitioner of the Occult? I've been traveling around the Americas for about 25 years teaching people how to tap into magick like this, and I've seen massive results everywhere I've gone.
Im 41 and call myself THE Hermetic Master, im curious for your abilities
Well at least someone is running controlled, repeatable experiments to gather real data rather then running with anecdotes and mystical experiences like most people do.
How about who intentionally attempts both?
Shifting the internal & deliberately writing the external story… seeing results within 6 months within consensus reality.
Fun stuff 😄
If this is true, how come there are no magicians winning the lottery?
Very good question on Premonition. I also ask that question.
There are.
Also, magicians can create daily wealth and lottery win isn’t necesary.
The reason being that there are many many people manifesting lottery wins.
I gotta wiggle and giggle Sigil 🥳
observing doesn`t influemce the observed.
BUT!! if there is an attachment from the observer to the observed or manipulation in every form. or mind is involved it becomes an influencer of the obeserved.
I suggest the next time you perform this Sigil…use empaths who are Highly Sensitive People aka HSP.
