If you base your ranking on influence how tf you gon put MBDTF higher than 808s? smh That album didn't change shit, Ye just wanted to make something perfect, he also said it in an interview, 808s and Yeezus are the 2 most innovative projects of him
...yeezus was actually behind it's time, as industrial, rough hard-core hip hop was already established as a genre, and way better so than what ye did on yeezus.
After graduation fans and people never let Kanye be Kanye. Those are facts. He is a progressive artist not a stunted artist. 90% of rappers stay in one lane Kanye does not his style changes, and that's why people have a problem. They want sameness and consistency. Kanye is unpredictable that is his greatness, your welcome.
Lebron James yes i have, and i love it to death. but the circle jerk around it has gotten to the point where the term i used is becoming a reality. and i wouldn’t compare it to illmatic as it’s a lot younger and we have to see where it stands when it reaches 15 years. also when i say see where it stands i mean amongst all not just kanye fans, because let’s face it bias is like breathing with a lot of them/us
Kanye really doesn't have a weak project at all, putting them in order is extremely hard. However I was surprised how much I share my opinion with Shawn Cee this is the exact order I would put them in too 😀
Juan Lewis politics aside it wasn’t, and i don’t care about anything the man does anymore outside of music. and pablo could’ve been huge and it simply wasn’t, and that has nothing to do with “politics” it was the quality and quantity of the entire project.
@TheTruth223 I don’t think tlop was weak I think it had missed potential and wasn’t focused at all but the individual songs like famous, no more parties in LA, father stretch my hands 2, wolves, and ultra light beam are great IMO but I listened after the re realese
How? 808s was a sad, weird, poorly written pop/electropop/contemporary r&b album. I don't even consider it a hip-hop album. Kanye was wayyyy too lost and confused and there were too many corny sounding moments and songs like Robocop and Coldest Winter and Paranoid and so many others that make it sound terrible. I like the idea of the album. A dark, moody, autotune, love album. It sounds like if it was done well then it could be one the most groundbreaking albums of the 2000's. But it wasn't. It wasn't well executed, it wasn't well attempted. Kanye often overused autotune and often stretched the pop theme too far which caused to corny moments as well.
Late Registration is my favorite. From top to bottom it is basically perfection in musical form. Production wise? Its miles ahead of any other Kanye album and once again, I don’t even see how it could be debatable on a technical level (opinions can vary, but the sounds here are beyond anything we’ve heard). Utilizing Jon Brion to help with arrangements and production, Kanye had his sound be much more grand and resounding, almost hitting that stadium sound he wanted on his next album without trying for it. College Dropout and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy are amazing as well. Graduation is great too but not quite as great as those top three.
I agree with your list, with the exception of Yeezus...I still feel that album is unfairly rated, by most music critics, or general hip hop fans. In a lot of ways, its a head of his time...the production and beats are jarring. The outro of Hold My Liquor is one of the greatest things my ears have experienced. The only downfall on some of the songs, is the lyrics, but isn't that with most of his albums? I rate Kanye as a musician more than a rapper. Blood on The Leaves is a highly underrated track, as well. And I feel that without the commercial success, its easy to overlook the gems on this album, and have noticed people really start respecting it more now, after listening to it. The roll out was terrible, but musically, the manic production and feel is something I rarely get from any music. Sorry the ramble...music is purely subjective, and I enjoy seeing how others perceive music I love as well. Keep up the great content!
People say that yeezus was just copying what industrial hip hop artists like deathgrips were doing but hold my liquor, new slaves and blood on the leaves are still pure🔥
He repurposed the industrial sound people ain’t bumping death grips ever at least I’m not but Ik people who do like them ain’t listening to that in public that’s some shit you keep hidden like it’s super unascesible but people will bump black skinhead ye made industrial hip hop cool
7. Yeezus- I appreciate the creativity but couldnt get with it as a whole 6. TLOP- better than yeezus but guests sometimes overshadow Ye (whos not saying much) 5. 808s and Heartbreak- I like the risks(his singing may be shaky but at least theres passion) 4. Most underrated Song by kanye is We Major from late registration and My Top 3 Best albums by yeezy is 1.Graduation 2.MBDTF 3.Late Registration also TLOP had so much potential to be a classic
I have a weird list so bare with me and btw I love all of these albums 1.MBDTF - Magnum opus 2.Late registration - college dropout style perfected 3.The life of Pablo - Raw kanye 4.College dropout - Amazing messages and samples 5. Yeezuz - Great production and just raw emotion but a little under written 6. Graduation - amazing catchy music but too poppy at points imo and some of the songs REALLY don’t hold up 7. 808s - Love this record but it’s very situational and can’t always be played Ps - I made this List before I watched the video
Good list but I’d have to put College Dropout on top. What’s underrated about that is Kanye’s positivity as a rapper whether facing breaking his jaw in a car accident, being put in the slow class on the bus, working a dead end job or being confronted with racism and producer stereotypes, the next line is always a powerful belief that he can overcome any obstacle in his way. It is him at his most powerful without coming off as ostentatiously arrogant

1. The life of Pablo 10/10 2. MBDTF 9.5/10 3. College dropout 9.5/10 4. Yeezus 9/10 5. Late registration 8.5/10 6.808s and heart breaks 8/10 7. Graduation 7.5/10 8. Ye 6/10
1. The College Dropout One of the best debuts ever, so raw, honest, and personal. The only time kanye was humble, and has some masterpieces like Family Business, All Falls Down, Spaceship, Jesus Walks, and much more. 2. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy The title says it all. Dark, twisted, yet so so beautiful. The range of emotions on this album is unparalleled, from anger in Gorgeous, sadness and regret in Runaway, pride in Monster, etc. 3. Graduation Such a different feel from his first two, and some of the catchiest tracks of our era i.e. Stronger, Good Life. Also had great emotional tracks such as Homecoming and Big Brother, and great electronic feel all around. Also very important album for basically putting the nail in the coffin for gangsta rap. 4. Late Registration A great follow up to TCD, and truly shows Kanye coming in terms with himself and his ego, but still keeping the soulful feel of his debut. Hey Mama, Heard Em Say, and Gone were pure music for the soul, and Touch the Sky and Gold Digger were great bangers. Still, couldn't get out of TCD's shadow. 5. The Life of Pablo Definitely Kanye's weirdest album (and that's saying something). I agree that it sounds like he threw together 20 random tracks without any central concept or theme. The lows were low: Low Lights, Feedback, Freestyle 4. But the highs were "so hiiiigh": No More Parties, Ultralight Beam, Saint Pablo. However, the final version is much better than the original, and should've been like that from the start. 6. Yeezus Don't understand why you hated this project so much. I thought it had some great bars on tracks like New Slaves and Blood on the Leaves, and a great alternative sound. However, the concept as a whole was pretty shallow and Kanye didn't seem like himself. 7. 808s & Heartbreak Easily my least favorite album. I wholeheartedly agree that it felt like Ye was going for this heartfelt message but just fell short of leaving any meaningful impact. Still, some great tracks on here: Heartless, Love Lockdown, Amazing. Also, can't deny the impact of the project.
Loon at the album cover if Yeezus... Its supposed to be simple and like his rhyme schemes and the production and sound is very angry and has themes of anger, and lust. The color red represents the feelings of lust and anger... Idk if this is a coincedence this is how I feel about the cover
2:19 that is literally one of the main reasons I love Kanye's music. He is always willing to experiment with new sounds and not just deliver a couple of songs here and there, but full length LP's revolving around one distinct style or genre outside of typical hip hop.

Don't think I agree with your list but can't argue with you on your opinions lol cool vid, love that Ye's music can create these kinds of discussions. "MY BEAUTIFUL DARK TWISTED FANTASY". Kanye West changed the game and gave Hip-Hop new sound with so many of his albums.
you act like he’s so innovative, there’s a thing called *the underground*
JO7FUL 音 I mean he is Innovative, you can't deny that fact but I know there's a shit ton of other artist who are Innovative too bro but this topic is just about Kanye.
6LACK LORD no he didn't
If you base your ranking on influence how tf you gon put MBDTF higher than 808s? smh That album didn't change shit, Ye just wanted to make something perfect, he also said it in an interview, 808s and Yeezus are the 2 most innovative projects of him
Ꮶɨɖ ֆքօƈᏦ Boi if you don't..
Yeezus is ahead of its time
Andres Esqueda facts that album has aged like fine wine
Just re-listened to yeezus the other day...... woah! ! 😧😳
...yeezus was actually behind it's time, as industrial, rough hard-core hip hop was already established as a genre, and way better so than what ye did on yeezus.
how can it be ahead of its time when it joined a movement that was already around?

‘Paranoid’ on 808s is one of kanyes best songs, so underrated honestly, it just makes you feel goooood
on god that song helped me through some hard times
Graduation is highkey my favorite album
RAT! Hell yeah
Facts tho
After graduation fans and people never let Kanye be Kanye. Those are facts. He is a progressive artist not a stunted artist. 90% of rappers stay in one lane Kanye does not his style changes, and that's why people have a problem. They want sameness and consistency. Kanye is unpredictable that is his greatness, your welcome.
Every song on the album absolutely slaps

808s LITERALLY SOUNDS AND FEELS LIKE A SNOWY WINTER LANDSCAPE. And it’s my favorite of his albums.
MBDTF - 100/10
Graduation - 10/10
Late Registration/The College Dropout - 9.5/10
TLOP 9/10
Yeezus - 8/10
here we have why MBDTF is overrated.....
@@ThaTruth223 Have you heard the album, I would say only three albums can compare to this, Madvillainy, TPAB and Illmatic
Lebron James yes i have, and i love it to death. but the circle jerk around it has gotten to the point where the term i used is becoming a reality. and i wouldn’t compare it to illmatic as it’s a lot younger and we have to see where it stands when it reaches 15 years. also when i say see where it stands i mean amongst all not just kanye fans, because let’s face it bias is like breathing with a lot of them/us
ThaTruth223 well when its a top 3 album of the last 10 years i think it’s pretty certified
Damn just disrespect 808s
“If I could write your lyrics, why would I want to hear them from you?” That quote GOT ME
Boi your thumbnail game is ON POINT.
You were totally talking about Fantano when you were saying how people were criticizing MBDTF for not relating with his lifestyle 😂
Carlos H that damn melon gave MBDTF a 6/10 but gave souljaboytellem.com a 10/10. Real niggas give MBDTF a 10/10 then dip

Kanye really doesn't have a weak project at all, putting them in order is extremely hard.
However I was surprised how much I share my opinion with Shawn Cee this is the exact order I would put them in too 😀
no, pablo was a weak project to many
ThaTruth223 not to anyone who actually listens to it disregarding all the politics. That album was great.
Juan Lewis politics aside it wasn’t, and i don’t care about anything the man does anymore outside of music. and pablo could’ve been huge and it simply wasn’t, and that has nothing to do with “politics” it was the quality and quantity of the entire project.
Yeezus sounded like a fucked up arcade game in every track
@TheTruth223 I don’t think tlop was weak I think it had missed potential and wasn’t focused at all but the individual songs like famous, no more parties in LA, father stretch my hands 2, wolves, and ultra light beam are great IMO but I listened after the re realese

IMO the most underrated Kanye song of all time- that’s in my personal top 5 favorite Kanye songs
That's one of my favorite rap song of all time. That is peak Kanye to me.
808s & Heartbreak is Kanye's best album. A great album inspired by tragedy, sadly.
Anuhea B Primacio I swear! That album stays underrated. Too many classics (Amazing, Love Lockdown, Heartless, Street Lights)
CJ Eastt why does everything have to be hip hop ?
Why is everyone hating on the life of Pablo, the production is on another level! Real friends and father stretch your hands are incredible.
To Pump A Butterfly Yeezus will be considered a top 10 album of this decade
He repurposed the industrial sound people ain’t bumping death grips ever at least I’m not but Ik people who do like them ain’t listening to that in public that’s some shit you keep hidden like it’s super unascesible but people will bump black skinhead ye made industrial hip hop cool

Ps - I made this List before I watched the video
ScumFuck FlowerBoy love it
I had a mini heart attack when I saw graduation at # 6
I agree with everything besides Graduation
Good list but I’d have to put College Dropout on top. What’s underrated about that is Kanye’s positivity as a rapper whether facing breaking his jaw in a car accident, being put in the slow class on the bus, working a dead end job or being confronted with racism and producer stereotypes, the next line is always a powerful belief that he can overcome any obstacle in his way. It is him at his most powerful without coming off as ostentatiously arrogant

The MBDTF point he made is clearly and insult to Anthony Fantano, the Needledrop. Shawn I LOVE U FOR THIS!!!!
Culture Vulture yes it was beautiful
1. The College Dropout
One of the best debuts ever, so raw, honest, and personal. The only time kanye was humble, and has some masterpieces like Family Business, All Falls Down, Spaceship, Jesus Walks, and much more.
2. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
The title says it all. Dark, twisted, yet so so beautiful. The range of emotions on this album is unparalleled, from anger in Gorgeous, sadness and regret in Runaway, pride in Monster, etc.
3. Graduation
Such a different feel from his first two, and some of the catchiest tracks of our era i.e. Stronger, Good Life. Also had great emotional tracks such as Homecoming and Big Brother, and great electronic feel all around. Also very important album for basically putting the nail in the coffin for gangsta rap.
4. Late Registration
A great follow up to TCD, and truly shows Kanye coming in terms with himself and his ego, but still keeping the soulful feel of his debut. Hey Mama, Heard Em Say, and Gone were pure music for the soul, and Touch the Sky and Gold Digger were great bangers. Still, couldn't get out of TCD's shadow.
5. The Life of Pablo
Definitely Kanye's weirdest album (and that's saying something).
6. Yeezus
Don't understand why you hated this project so much. I thought it had some great bars on tracks like New Slaves and Blood on the Leaves, and a great alternative sound. However, the concept as a whole was pretty shallow and Kanye didn't seem like himself.
7. 808s & Heartbreak
Easily my least favorite album. I wholeheartedly agree that it felt like Ye was going for this heartfelt message but just fell short of leaving any meaningful impact. Still, some great tracks on here: Heartless, Love Lockdown, Amazing. Also, can't deny the impact of the project.
Bill I Did Not Bang That Woman Clinton
