Poor Maurice. Such an important component of the harmony. He has the 'difficult' harmony. So well blended it succeeds to almost go unnoticed. The other 2 bee gees have the feature vocals every time.

When they broke up for about 15 months Barry and Robin each did albums with Maurice. I think they realized that the Bee Gee sound doesn’t happen without Maurice. Yet the solo songs that Maurice did could’ve easily made him a successful solo artist in country music but they never released his album.
Oh how beautiful! The whole composition is brilliantly heartbreaking. I keep playing it over and over again and find new nuances I had not heard before. My favorite song, so much more to discover!!!❤️

Poor Maurice. Such an important component of the harmony. He has the 'difficult' harmony. So well blended it succeeds to almost go unnoticed. The other 2 bee gees have the feature vocals every time.
Maurice pulls in his own harmonies with Robin & Barry when they are writing. It comes very natural for him to do the high harmony.

@@rasiledava4691 .And the more difficult harmony I think is the vocal most unnoticed. Difficult as it often doesn't sound much like the tune being sung. Comes out sounding beautiful all together.
When they broke up for about 15 months Barry and Robin each did albums with Maurice. I think they realized that the Bee Gee sound doesn’t happen without Maurice. Yet the solo songs that Maurice did could’ve easily made him a successful solo artist in country music but they never released his album.
