And in the 80s. and 90s. Etc etc.... this car is a lucky survivor.... especially escaping potential dramas like blowing a cracked hose on the motorway on New Years Day going to and from Brooklands !
Very true, it's a Guernsey car originally, so sadly it's original number plate has been lost to time, but could be part of the reason it survived. Low mileage on the island, and then an enthusiast buying it 👍
Hi Steve, I like your videos, you have similar taste in cars to me. I have two TR6s and a 1969 Rover P6B.. One of my TR s is very similar to yours it's a 1969 one in Royal Blue built in February 1969.
I prefer the looks of the series 1.They spoiled them a bit with the series 2,the plastic grille doesn't look as good as the metal one, and the finishing strips ruined the lines of the car.
Totally agree that you dodged a bullet with that hose, esoecially having a spare in the boot, and you definitely need to fit a full set of correct new hoses this year ! Blue coolant traditionally should be changed every 2 years for maximum effectiveness, but new formulations may stretch it to 3 ?
Yeah couldn't agree more. I'm going to stretch the coolant for 3 years. I generally look after the car, when things need doing they tend to get done. However I should really record more of it on, but with it be my only car, sometimes it's just not always practical. I intend of getting on top of that this year and sharing much more content 👍
Good to see you back making videos Steve. Some cool tools you've shown there. 👍
Cheers mate, I'm going to try and keep making them throughout 2024 👍
Hello, came across this video by accident, but would just like to say, that engine sounds lovely. No rattles or blowing, just as it should. Nice one.
Cheers Michael for such a lovely positive comment on my car. It's taken some time and patience to get it to this position 👍
Brilliant job Steve, well done. Disaster averted.
Cheers 👍
Good work there Steve very lucky as well with a nice straight forward fix 👍
Cheers it's always great when you get an easy fix 👍
Great to see your fixing videos back Steve!
Cheers mate, I do enjoy making them, and now I've more free time to do them, you'll see more content throughout 2024 👍
No leaks , No worries. Job well done. Nice when You have a box with spares, if will keep You running.
It was just luck really there was one there. But it's kept me going 👍

Great stuff, I’d love a P6B series 1, but they are hens teeth compared to the series 2

Go to love a simple fix Steve!
Couldn't agree more, and nice to make a video on it too. I'm going to try and keep this going 👍
