How is it that a keeper can take a player out and not get a card, where an outfield player would?

My guess is the concession of a penalty flick was deemed enough punishment? It's a great question though haha. I've received cards for heavy tackles against players at the top of the D even when winning the ball, unsure how this wasn't one.
