Been carrying since 1993. Same Sp101. How to carry is deeply personal. I’ve carried since before many people we little kids. First rule is just bring a gun. What you works for you is all that matters.
@@BruceKliche I've had my hellcat pro in the safe for a min now. Too snappy to me. I love it tho, just snappy. Been wanting a VP9. So you saying you like the Hellcat over the VP9? I may not get one now then.
@@luckylandy2945 I love my VP9. Since it is a full size model I sometimes look for something a little smaller to carry, especially when I wear shorts during the hot summer months. I don't know about the compact VP9's. I tried the S&W Shield but did not shoot well with it. The Hellcat worked well for me. It is a little snappy, but I practice a double tap and I can manage to get the second shot back on target quickly.
@@BruceKliche I had this same thing happen to me as well with the hellcat. Single shot it felt really snappy but once I trained double taps and strings of fire, it tighten up a lot. Maybe it's just the brain knowing you have a follow up shot so you tighten your grip unconsciously but it's really good once you train follow up shots.
I'd never have guessed watching Jason stand there before hand that he was going to bust out a full size G17. That's awesome. And the bag Kenzie brought out towards the end is a nice thing I've learned about and probably how I will likely set up my EDC once I get proper training.
Vertx and 5.11 both make great non conspicuous bags, fanny packs, and whatnot and I use the Ukoala utility bag too with no zippers, just a nice compartment right in front of my thigh to draw using my Crossbreed velcro holster. Hands free is the key to off body carry so you can get it out fast and correctly!
@@ReticleUp I was looking into the 945 Industries conceal carry bag that I've seen. Can be set up with a tab to use to pull the zipper open and draw the weapon. I've seen some folks drill with it and have the bag open, weapon drawn and first shots in the 1.5 range.

I carried a full-size (FNP9) for years with an Alien Gear IWB at about 4:30 with a spare mag on the non-dominant side. I went through a weekly training for a year and wanted to add an optic so I went with a Sig P365X Macro (comp) with a Holosun green dot and a TLR7 sub. Still carry with an Alien Gear IWB. So I have 17 +1 and then the spare mag is extended with 20. Hopefully I will never have to use it in a defensive situation, but if so, I am well trained and it is a nice set up.
I’ve carried 1911’s for almost 30 years 80’-2010. After 2010, I’ve carried several different 9mm’s. In the past 3-4 years, I’ve carried an Sig 365, Staccato XC, P and C2, Sig 365 X Macro All Appendix. I live in Arizona and in The Winter months, I carry an H&K in a Shoulder Holster. USP .45 Always carry at least 1 Spare Magazine.
I've been carrying a sidearm for almost forty years now. Over that time I have carried everything from a full size 1911 to a J frame S&W...from a LW Seecamp to a Beretta 92fs. At the end of the day the holster, belt, and clothes make the biggest impact on keeping it safe and not noticeable. Whatever you carry, practice practice practice. It needs to wear naturally and you need to work it naturally.
Love the necklace Kenzie, very original. 29 years carrying concealed. In that time I've run the gamut from crossdraw to appendix to 2, 3 and 4 o'clock, to middle of back. IWB, OWB, leather, kydex, nylon, no holster at all (that was years ago, stopped after my J frame Smith slid down my pant leg and hit the blacktop DOH!). I've settled into a good kydex holster, mostly iwb but occasionally owb, and most often a Glock 43X (although I am thinking of switching to a G48). I also occasionally carry a Ruger LCP .380 in a pocket holster.
Thank you!! I appreciate it. Been about a year wearing it and only a few people know what it is outside the gun world. It's so fun in airports when someone compliments it and knows what it is! haha
Glock 19 Lower with G45 Gunsite Slide with Holosun 509T with Stream light TLR8 AG (Built for me) at the 4 O'clock position OTW and ITW holster. 17 Round Magazine with Federal Law Enforcement HST 147 grain with 2 Spare Magazines (2 17 Round magazine) on the OTW Mag pouches. Folding Knife on the Right Pocket, Surefire G2X with Thyrm Pocket Clip, Challenge Coin, and Ankle IFAK. When I do off carry its all the same with but I add extra IFAK in a Viktos Upscale. If space allows and situation I throw in a AR Mag, Small ASP, and snacks.
Now I should preface with saying I’m 6’10” and 250lbs, so having to worry about concealing something or imprinting is never an issue. That being said, my EDC/CC is my FNX45T. 15+1 of the Lord’s caliber plus extra mag God forbid I ever need it. I have a TacRig IWB/OWB interchangeable holster, then I also have a Dara Level 2 OWB (only) if I need to carry it with my light attached. If I need something sleeker, if I’m wearing or suit or whatever, I use my P320 with a belly band I bought that I love. My tactical stomach allows me to appendix it, 4 to 5 o’clock, wherever I need it. I recently acquired a TTI which also fits perfectly in the belly belt, so the P320 may be moving down the bench however.
Winter time, I conceal carry my G17C in my Urban Carry 2, warmer days I carry a G43X (2xS15 mags) in my Tulster. Both firearms are equipped with light/laser. Depending on what I'm doing, I'll carry at the 1o'clock or 3o'clock position. Only time i open carry is on the range or my way to it. Want to subtract 1 point from Kenzie for calling out "clip". She can have it back after showing she EDCs with a C96 LOL. Seriously though, thanks for showing the information Jason, Kaya and Kenzie. Think one extra thing we should also carry or have around is a trauma pack and/or knife. Good tools to have other than a firearm.
I carry a Springfield Hellcat OSP w/ Holosun 407k at 3:00 most days. When i am trying REAL hard to not print i carry a Sig P938 Legion at 4:00. Both of those in a Vedder Hybrid holster. I drive a lot and those positions are both comfortable and easy to access from a seated position. When i want to feel fancy, I carry my Kimber KDS9c with a 507k in a Gunfighters Inc hybrid holster at the 3:00 position. It prints a little bit but if anyone asks, it's a "medical device." 😂
I carry a G19 sometimes and a Sig p365 Macro sometimes. I carry in the appendix position but I find that when I'm getting outta my car with the Glock(it has a TLR1 HL) I have to be careful or the light will dig into my balls and it is painful. The Sig doesn't do that. So, I kinda like the Sig more. It also holds 2 more rounds and its smaller so its a win-win-win. T-rex holsters for both.
I carry my p365 x macro, appendix. I live in florida, so im always wearing shorts, arrowhead is perfect for that! In the winter when i wear a sweater, i carry my M18 with a tlr 7, and extra mag always, with both set ups.
My setup is appendix with the Sig365 xmacro with a dot. GBRS holster is lightweight with easy adjustable retention and I like that the clips have that snag tab so there’s no chance of slipping. Spare mag clipped in the back left pocket. EDC fixed blade (utility not defensive. I’m not a knife fighter) is left of center to draw with either hand.
Recently got my LTC. I carry a Sig x Macro (non-comp) with a tlr 7 sub. I use T-Rex Arms appendix holster with the sidecar. Also use a Kore Essentials belt. Love the set up!
EDC Appendix S&W shield Plus with the 13 round. PSA Dagger Compact with the threaded barrel. Simple reliable stuff. Winter time Im looking into a Glock 30.

I carry a hellcat OSP, with an Alien gear photon holster set up for appendix carry. I have a green dot site, covered. My second gun is a Bersa firestorm, iron sites I use a leather holster 4 O’Clock strong side. The holster covers my trigger and has adjustable retention screws.
Nice conversation here. I carry appendix and go between a G43x and a S&W Shield Plus. Tier 1 Concealed holsters with a wedge and claw. Federal HST 124gr Hollows.
Ive been carrying since 1985 and I have changed guns over the years but in 2021 I decided that if I pull my gun even in self defense the way the law reads they will take my gun so I did not want to lose my ruger sp-101 so I changed to a taurus gx4 witch I can replace for under $300 not $800 for the custom ruger
Depends on the day and what I'm wearing or going. I carry a Springfield XDm Elite appendix most days. If I'm dressed up I have a SW M+P shield EZ 380. Both only run hornady +p hollow point. My truck pistol is a glock19 running +plus p as well.
I’ve carried Glock 19 appendix for years now I’m carrying a Glock 17 appendix and it feels so much more comfortable not as easy to conceal but I’m also 6’2 So it’s still conceals pretty good
I’m carrying a 5” stealth arms platypus. On the strong side. As a bigger person I enjoy a full size handgun 23rds with the ti baseplate tlr9 with esp carry. Highly recommend.
Conceal carry my P365 Xmacro, Holosun507k, and Tlr7sub in an A&R Kydex holster at the 4 o'clock usually. If I'm in sweatpants or shorts, I have a P365 .380 that I appendix carry in Aliengear Shapreshift for better concealment and comfort. Finally, in a suit or during big formalish events, I swap my frame to the XL and carry in a shoulder holster from Aliengear Shapeshift. I am currently debating buying a Trex Arms Sidecar with mag holster to give it a try for my Xmacro setup. I find my holster pinch my groin skin when I appendix carry sometimes and I sit down, so I'm shopping around for options.
I carried at 5 oclock with a left handed holester for years. I ordered a cross body and literally the day after i saw tu lam talking about a cross body. Can carry so much more and is maybe a second slower.
I mainly carry a Glock 43 in an urban carry experion holster with an holosun 507k red dot and a nightstick light/laser combo. But I also carry glock 22 sometimes with a 27 in my pocket too just to make sure
I heard a lawyer talking about defense shooting. We all know about the officer and his glock plate but it was suggested to call your local PD to see what ammo they use. Switched from crit def to duty.
I've practiced my draw from appendix and strong side using the Mantis X system. Found that drawing and firing strong side was nearly a full second quicker with my best time being just over 2 secs. It's the rail-mounted device and that demands a different type of holster (Urban Carry's Hyperion). I'd be very interested in testing these results again using the training cartridge with the system so I can run my Tuster and see what he difference is.
I carry x-macro, or a shield 2.0, and when at work I have a Dagger in a bag with 2 extra mags. I did carry Canik TP9 EC for a time but now it’s my bedside gun. And I carry appendix, red dot and light . Dagger in the bag is bare bones, no red dot, no light. It’s for day time only while at work. And if I need to use it I don’t lose a bunch of money with it.
M&P 2.0. 4.25 appendix or 945 Industries bag. Canik mete sf same setup. My Cz p10C was my other option until my firing pin broke in the first 300 hundred rounds
At the moment I carry the CR920P with two 13 round mags and I use the T1C appendix holster. When it gets to the colder months, I switch to the MR920 and similar holster. But I’ll have 15+1 in the blaster and then additional 20 rounds in the side car
I Carry a Walther F Series in a Tier 1 Apex holster. I'm honestly not a fan of their wedges, so I use 2 Vedder holster wedges. Oh, I Leopold dots on my other Walthers and wanted to try out the new Olight dot on my F Series and I love it so far. I shoot a LOT and it hasn't lost zero yet, nor have I had to charge it yet.
I'm left handed and am either riding or driving a lot. I carry a either a CZ P-07 or a Hellcat Pro in cross draw configuration at 2 or 3 O'clock I would guess. Spare mag is a must, it is easier to replace the mag than try to fix the one that buggered up in the gun.
I’m curious as to which holster Kenzie was using. It looked super comfortable. I’m wanting to try 4’oclock with my S&W Shield Plus. Right now I carry appendix with an Eclipse Holster. Went with DCC mono block clips and vedder wedge.
I have an MTR holster which is leather and it has plenty of retention, Doesnt click like kydex but it is an awesome Holster, I have many Kydex and Leather, Love both.. I also carry an M&P 2.0 which is the size of a 19 with a light on it... Use what is most comfortable, Also my MTR leather does cover the Trigger guard. I carry apendix as well
I carry a P365 XMacro Comp in a T1C Axis Elite (appendix sidecar holster). One thing you guys didn’t mention was which belt you use. I use the Hunter Constantine EDC belt (T1C makes the same belt).
1911 Commander in 40 S&W in a Simple Rugged Holster at the 3 or 3:30 right side with light concealment with a S&W bodyguard for weight to aid in clearing the Commander.
I started out carrying a full size Springfield XD mode 2 outside the waistband finally got a hellcat carry inside the waistband with a crossbreed holster at 7 o'clock because I'm left-handed I have had some issues with the crossbreed holster having some wear points on the hellcat I'm not sure that's a normal thing but the finish or paint job on it has had some wear Sometimes of the year like during the late fall or winter I also have a concealed carry vest I like to wear

I heard a lawyer talking about defense shooting. We all know about the officer and his glock plate but it was suggested to call your local PD to see what ammo they use. Switched from crit def to duty.
I appendix carry a Canik Rival, Legacy Firearms holster. Full size fits me best. 20+1.
I didn't expect Jason to carry a glock with him being such a die hard sig fan.
Only one worth carrying.
I think you're thinking of Aaron!
Canik mc9 at the 4 o'clock. Iron sights spare mag in front left pocket. Only down side is cleaning out a lot of lint still semi new
I carry appendix, with the Sig 365 XMacro Tac Ops version with at least 1 extra mag!
1911 5” barrel at 4:00 position

I Carry a Walther F Series in a Tier 1 Apex holster. I'm honestly not a fan of their wedges, so I use 2 Vedder holster wedges. Oh, I Leopold dots on my other Walthers and wanted to try out the new Olight dot on my F Series and I love it so far. I shoot a LOT and it hasn't lost zero yet, nor have I had to charge it yet.
Jason obviously hasn't heard of urban carry holsters. Leather. Covers the trigger and has adjustable retention
Glock 43x in a 945 cross chest bag, used to do appendix and 4 o’clock
I carry a Canik mete mc9 w/ 2 17 round mags and a red dot. I like to wear basketball shorts and that setup is super light
I carry apendix as well
I carry the Sig X Macro, and sometimes I like to roll with my G43x. I always use the 3-4 clock position.
I carry a P365 XMacro Comp in a T1C Axis Elite (appendix sidecar holster).

FN509 CC Edge with a TLR 7 light with appendix carry holster from trex arms.
Kaya channeling his inner flannel daddy with the plug for training.
Sig P365X or G19
Someone tell Jason about the mastermind tactics pillow.
Way better than wedges
I started out carrying a full size Springfield XD mode 2 outside the waistband finally got a hellcat carry inside the waistband with a crossbreed holster at 7 o'clock because I'm left-handed I have had some issues with the crossbreed holster having some wear points on the hellcat I'm not sure that's a normal thing but the finish or paint job on it has had some wear
Sometimes of the year like during the late fall or winter I also have a concealed carry vest I like to wear
500 reasons 😂😂😂😂 and two are called Smith and Weston
G19. I like the feel of the G17 better, but for conceal purposes, the 19.
Whenever I get see a "fanny pack" either crossbody or worn traditionally I automatically assume they're carrying.... Lol 🤷♂️
