    Be careful with this one, it's not officially supported by ardupilot. "The RadioLink CrossFlight is not supported by ArduPilot. As far as the ArduPilot Development Team is aware, RadioLink are in violation of ArduPilot’s GPLv3 license in that they refuse to release the source code for their modifications to ArduPilot. The Development Team recommend you do not purchase this product, and instead select from one of our many other supported boards."

    I have to say, after getting the RadioLink Mini Pix, and finding out it was only supported by it's own mission planner, and *sort of* supported by ArduPilot, but not (can only use one or maybe two specific ArduX types), I can't recommend RadioLink at all until they make something that works with the standard Mission Planner. Once bit, twice shy. I really hope they do better with this one.

    You should have reported that Radiolink has not been abiding by the GPLv3 license for years and continue to do so with this Flight Controller. So it will not be supported by Ardupilot.

    their website is horrible cause a video is starting without asking and you have to find that far down to stop that,
    but : they really do offer quite a lot of spare parts for this FC - never seen that before in such a broad variety.

    I assume the two telem UARTs are in addition to the GPS UART, right? So you could put a CRSF receiver on one UART and attach the other to a Walksnail VTX? Essentially, most of my models only use 3 UARTs anyway for RX, WS VTX and GPS so looks like this may be worth a try.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Год назад +1

      For modern systems, three hardware UARTs are needed. Wiring diagrams for this are available. I've fed back that they need to add the CRSF connections to it..

    Hi Painless360, I have a radiolink AT-10ii transmitter and I'm thinking of acquiring the crossflight to be able to benefit from telemetry and a gyro for my new glider but I'm a complete beginner and I don't know if I should connect the lipo to the power module and the brushless motor ESC to the Main out pins as with the other servos. I had made a clear sketch to better explain my problem but I can't upload it in the comments. thank you for listening .

      Yes, crossflight can work on your Rc Mowbot. Crossflight can be compatible with Airplane/3-8 Copters/Helicopter/Car/Boat/Submarine/Radartracker/Mowbot, and the working temperature is -40~176℉(-40~80℃).

    I purchased the crossflight got everything connected but no power coming from the osd connector. It has the usual vin, vout, 2 grd pins, 5 volt for camera, but the vtk has 5 volt pin. Problem is I do not get any voltage from the 5 volt pins. Am I missing something? Or is this controller bad?
    Thanks.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Год назад

      Some of the pins may only be powered when the Crossflight is powered from the battery as well.. Best of luck

    • @aiziwu5069
      @aiziwu5069 Год назад

      The OSD does not output 5V. You need to power your camera with an external power supply. OSD ports will take 5V from camera and give 5V to power image transmission. Besides OSD, other connectors are powered by crossflight.

    I have their standard Pixhawk FC on one of my quads and it works pretty well. It is based off of the original Pixhawk, so its missing a lot of the features of the newer ardupilot FCs. The firmware that is shipped on the board is custom to their FC's and not the open source standard.
