HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST OF THE BEST aka Ashley aka hydesbride!!! I knew I had to make an edit to a Taylor Swift song and I know we both love this one and Spuffy and I just couldn't get this idea out of my head! I tried to make the ending a bit more hopeful and make the "i gave so many signs" mean signs that they love each other, especially Buffy because she really did love Spike and he would have seen that had they had more time together!
Anyway I just wanna say I love you with all my heart and I am endlessly grateful for the friendship and constant support that you've shown me! Your friendship means the world to me and I hope you know how amazing and appreciated you are!!

OMG this video is just the most epic Spuffy video ever!! I have watched it like 30 times today! I love it so much!! The way you opened with Spike trying to communicate how much he loves Buffy and then ended the video with the signs all being about how much they love each other was just such a beautiful way of bookending the video!!! And you managed to make a sad song come off hopeful!
Love the parallel of the moments where he sat on the porch with her when she was sad!!! :') Of course the lyric match for "with his arms around your body" was perfect and also enraging! lol it made zero sense to write a kiss in between those two when they were both in love with other people at the time. But whatever. bahaha and aaww and then following up with that adorable scene from the wedding!

I never thought i'd use a shot of angel and buffy lol especially them kissing (soo unnecessary!) but it did fit that line pretty well. Never gonna happen again though lol!
yes the shot i used for "what am i defending now" is literally spike singing "i'm free if that bitch dies-I better help her out.." and i was like it's so perfect xD sums up s6 spike so well too.
I love Buffy calling Spike William when she's apologizing cause it shows that she DOES care for him!

So I watched this video a few weeks ago for the first time, never having seen BTVS or knowing much about it at all, and I was brought to tears. I swear I started crying. And then I came back to watch it again the next day and broke out crying again. And I came back again, and again, and again... over and over. And every time, every single time, I cried. I hadn't even seen the show, didn't know any context, and still I was practically sobbing after every watch. About a week and a half ago I decided that I NEEDED to watch this show, and NOW! So I did. I watched all 7 seasons in about 9 days. I couldn't stop. And every time I re-watched this video I would cry even more, because now I was getting context. And now, tonight I have finally finished it, all of it. And I must say I'm speechless. I have had a few OTP's in my life that have been deeply important to me, but this one is different. Even before I watched the show I was enthralled. I must say EXCELLENT JOB. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. I can honestly say now that I've just finished the final episode, after crying through the last part (almost to the point that I couldn't see the screen through the tears) and then taking 2 hours to cry after finishing it, that this video and this show and THIS COUPLE has changed my life. Forever.
Wow, I'm honored my video made you watch Buffy! I like that you were able to feel so much emotion before even knowing anything about them, that's just the power of Spuffy! You wouldn't believe the amount of times I cried when watching the show and especially the ending, I was literally on the floor curled in a ball the first time lol. I'm really happy you're part of the fandom now, this show and pairing is just so special and unparalleled!

Ugh putting the "I love you" "Know you don't" over the feminie voice gives the air of Buffy sort of...reliving her mistake. She meant it, we all know she meant it it's canon she meant it, but Spike couldn't believe her. Whether he thought it was a lie to a dying man, he needed to save her, he wanted her to hurt less with his loss than she didn’t from rest of them and/or he needed to keep himself from running with her we can't be sure, but because of that and Buffy's hesitance in the past they are never able to say it at the same time.
Epic. I'm just speechless, it's perfect and I love them so much. I suffer from cronic sever pain and she was the hero who made me fight for my life over and over again. He is the perfect match more to the audience than her but still adorable.

I was always a Spike girl even when I first watched this show back in the day when I was just a girl.
Rewatching the show now as a woman I appreciate their relationship and their growth soo much more and damn the chemistry between SMG and James Marsters is just flawless ❤
Spike definitely had his faults and some that I will never defend but he chose to man up and pay for those mistakes getting his soul back in the process.
Angel on the other hand always treated her like a child and even made some choices for her instead of letting her make up her own mind like the adult albeit young adult she was.
Spike always accepted her and genuinely understood her better than anyone else.
It's always gonna be end game for me for Spike.
He was in fact "loves bitch" and damnit I love him more for being man enough to admit it.

I love how you have combined the images, how you have built the story..This is my favorite series of all time,. I have seen it a thousand times.I will love Spike all my life .. I have never been able to find a character like him, so sexy, attractive, funny, honest, brave, sincere, loyal ... so human being a vampire, able to recognize his mistakes, fight for the one he loves ... I love his story, how it begins and unfolds Buffy is my heroine, but she did not love him, she felt passion , but not love. It makes me very angry how Buffy uses Spike, while he dies of love .. She thanks him for how it has been, and feels compassion for him, but not love .. Buffy needs Spike becauses she knows he will never do to fail ... but she doesn't love it,Unfortunately
You are aware that Joss Whedon himself confirmed that she was IN LOVE with spike at the end of season 7. He also explained that buffy wasn't the type that would tell someone she loved them and lie about it, and that if she didn't love said individual she rather leave them than lie about it. He also said the spike is the long-term guy for Buffy.
Even in the cannon continuation comics she chooses spike.

I know she loved him, but it angers me how she treats him and it angers me that for Angel, a character I deeply hate and who didn't do much for her, is the boy she would have died for.

B) She, knowing that she could die chooses to spend what might be the last night alive with Spike, NOT Angel.
C)She chooses to give the amulet to Spike because in her eyes he is more of a champion to her than Angel.

She actually was in love him. It was confirmed by Joss that the “I love you “ was genuine. Then Joss proceeded to explain that she wasn’t the type to tell someone she loved them and not mean it.

How did he not lose his soul when they did it
Because Spike wasn’t cursed like Angel was. Spike found a demon who made him perform trials to prove his want for a soul was true. Spike fought to have his soul returned for Buffy. Whereas Angel was punished by gypsies with his soul so he’d feel the guilt for all eternity from killing all the people he did. When he slept with Buffy, he found a moment of perfect happiness and that broke the curse so his soul left him and was replaced with his demon again. For Spike, it was his choice to regain his soul.
Sorry that was pretty long winded but I hope it clears things up a bit. ☺️

I know what I'm about to say could piss people off and in no way do I condone ''THE BATHROOM SCENE'', but Buffy constantly giving herself to Spike then rejecting him, is what caused that. I also believe that it could be used as a subtle way of showing girls what could happen when you play with a mans emotions.
It's more like, it's their dynamics. I don't think it's because of what she did. It is the fact that Spike was still kind of evil, even if the core of his evil self is love.
Spike did it because they had a very wild sexual relationship, and Buffy said many times that no, but then they ended up having sex. Spike thought it was the same as always.She hardly defended herself, so Spike saw that he really was hurting her and he stopped. Buffy to play with him and use him, itS fatal, but you can't think that by playing with feelings or refusing to have sex someone can rape you. So when a boy plays with us, Did we kill him?
