    16710 is the favorite watch of my small collection and the only ‚vintage‘. Pepsi bezel, coke bezel, black bezel, faded bezel, leather strap… simply the most versatile watch for me

    good collection, as for me, i enjoy collecting all the rolex "green dial"; 116610lv, 116718ln, 116508, 124300, 228238, 126334 and recently added the Omega speedmaster moonshine gold green dial.

      Nice! I like green too. You should consider the Milgauss GV with the black dial because the green crystal really pops against the black. Feels like a green dial in a way.

    1 more con for modern collecting - way less certain which models are going to stand the test of time, whereas with vintage, ya know upfront whether something is already a classic and will stay that way…modern collecting can be much more speculative in that sense, which may negatively impact value long term vs. vintage

    hi eric
    do you know that you are now breaking through in the vintage Rolex world. stop in time
    and enjoy with 1 watch on your wrist. your holy grail. that you always wear. that makes a watch special. so stop buying. Make 1 watch your favorite on your wrist and wear it day and night.

  • @neil4701

    Modern watches are mostly big and ugly. If you are interested in well-designed, interesting watches sized at 36mm or under you are pretty much restricted to vintage.

  • @androidaccount7743
    @androidaccount7743 8 месяцев назад +3

    There's a high risk of getting frankenwatches when going vintage, maintenance could be an issue too given it's age and condition.

    • @androidaccount7743

      @@jethrojacinto2798 No, the risk with modern pieces is getting entire fake pieces that are near impossible to tell apart from the real ones.
