Sometimes, it's performed by the Sugar Plum Fairy and her beaux, and sometimes it's performed by Clara and the Nutcracker. I just recently had a dream where Wei Ying and Lan Zhan were performing the dance together. It was a brief snippet, but it happened. Wouldn't it be cool to see them actually perform it? The music's just absolutely perfect for these two. :)
