Jason the Punks look stunning ... Never seen them before ... Would you put shell dwellers into a community tank with med & upper swimming fish❓

No Dino? That is surprising to me, I mean they are rare-ish but not as rare as the calliurus. Yes I would do that for a community tank. Of course it depends on the aggression and size of each type of fish selected.

So glad I saw this video about 20 years when I first started in this hobby (before leaving for many years) I had one of those Elongatus but I couldn't remember for the life of me it's full name!! So glad I now know 👌

Ahoi there Jason, they look like L. Leloupi. I had that breed for a couple of years. They're very similar. I fed them with live artemia and and baby artemia 'cause they were wild caught. Hope you will have reproduction of them. Thank you for sharing the experience

Yeah they do don't they. Oh nice, they must have been pretty special! Thank you Matteo, hopefully spawning activity in the next few months!

Hey Rob, sorry didn't realise you asked this twice. I responded in detail in your previous post. Hope it makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

    Absolutely amazing Jason.
After Leleupi the caudopunctatus are my next favourite Tanganyikan fish.
Never seen those shellies before and very interested to follow your progress on both of these new acquisitions.
    You made a fantastic choice!!!!
    🙂

Cheers Paul, glad you liked seeing them. Are they? Leleupi and punks huh? They are both very beautiful fish! Yeah the calliurus are pretty rare. Glad to have shown you something new and glad you liked my selections!

get ready for thousands of fry from the punks in the comming months, they breed faster than lelupie. they breed like rabbits. very hardy fish though. have about 500+ of them right now.

Wow really? Faster than leleupi? That's crazy you have so many, I hope you're able to move them on! Mine are still in quarantine and doing well. No sign of spawning yet though. That said, I spawned my leleupi within 20 days of purchasing them.
