I've been a Duran Duran fan since I first heard "The Reflex" when I was 13 years old and sadly I probably wouldn't have been one of those sixteen people singing along on the Pop Trash Tour but for the last 6 months or so I've been expanding my Duran Duran knowledge and downloaded pretty much every song they have and listened to nothing but Duran Duran during this time, in the car, at work, working out, etc.. I've really been enamored lately with the "Live at Hammersmith Odeon" releases, what I wouldn't give for a set list like one of those when I see them next month in Vegas! So much Andy guitar coming through on those releases. Songs that I'll probably never hear live but have a much greater appreciation for these days: 1. Night Boat 2. Late Bar 3. Last Chance on the Stairway 4. Hold back the rain 5. Friends of Mine 6. Anyone out there 7. To the Shore 8. My Own Way At any rate, the last time I saw them they didn't even play Hungry Like the Wolf so I'm at least hoping for that this time!
They played this live YEARS ago and you could totally tell who were TRUE fans and who just knew them from the songs they heard on the radio. It was pretty AMAZING!
Yes a B-Side Tour would be incredible!! I would love them to do "Like an angel", "We need you" and somethinginstrumental like "Faith in this Colour"! The only problem is a tour like that would attract the older fans mostly. LOL I can't rush toward the stage like I used to!
This is by far in my top 5 fave Duran Duran songs and it's so cool to see them perform this so many years later! This is one of those songs that only true fans would sing at a concert of their's!
My favorite DD is when they let the guitar rip. Great performance. Include this with other killer live songs. Careless Memories, Sunrise, New Religion, Rio, Hold Back The Rain and Serious.
