- All Tower Abilities from Kingdom Rush Alliance Explained
In this video I will showcase all the tower abilities for Kingdom Rush Alliance as well as including in gameplay for most of them. Some of them seem to be incredibly broken while others feel slightly underwhelming. There are a couple of unique and new ones, but for the majority they lack in comparison to the games of the Kingdom Rush Saga.

A bit disappointed they didn't take the chance to make the tricannons have the ability to spawn dark knights as abilities. It would have been so cool and its design really resembles the Dark Knights Barracks, feels like a somewhat missed opportunity 😢
I think because existence of paladin they are supposed to be "light counterpart" of darknight while comin in 3 pack just look at healing prayer, and beside the first "dark heroes"you get is bassically a simpable dark knight with ability to summon the orginal dark kninght
@@Rags666 Not exactly what I meant. Since we don't really have a "dark" counterpart to Paladin either. It would have been really nice to see an upgrade that allows you to spawn a max of two dark knights and see both Paladins and Dark Knights fight alongside each other. I get your point but that also means that if you don't have Raelyn as one of your currently chosen heroes then you won't be able to spawn a dark knight either right? And aren't the dark knights like Vez'nan's main soldiers? So shouldn't he at least be able to spawn some even if not in a barracks like in KRV?
@@Rags666 and also side note, the dark knight Raelyn seems to spawn may be different from average dark knights due to its appearance being very similar to the Dark Knight with golden chain in KRV loading screen amd is most likely that one which may also explain why she can only summon one since it might be like her best soldier.

i don't like the feact that the paladins no more do area damage, or the towers not having a third ability, bt i hope this is good for the game.
Paladins may have the holy strike as a feature but not one of their upgradable abilities
Necromancers usually don't have the ability to 'store' attacks, but they can now store up to 4 skulls. It seems towers also have a passive skill which we don't know a lot about yet.

I change my mind about towers i was gonna pick towers in the dark army for my towers but in the live i see grim wraith is kinda weak and rocket gunners they deal like no damage idk what towers i gonna pick in kr5 btw good vid
Grim wraiths still provide insane utility with the swap mechanic. In terms of towers, dwarven flamethrower, goblin fort and elven stargazer all seem to be on the stronger side.

Cant wait to play with them 😁 actually, imo 2 abilities per tower is good because in krv some abilities are useless (at least for me), i rarely had all three abilities per tower. In other games, two abilities are fine.
Almost forgot, barracks had before three abilities, but i think two is ok as if my memory serves right, og paladin is only one i buy all abilities.
Yeah... That was the best, high armor, instant healing and area damage that ignores armor
Lets hope the towers all fulfill some niche and arent straight up useless
Like in KRO, there really was no point in running artillery towers unless for some challenges since arcane archers pretty much outperforned them even at aoe esp since they were way cheaper.
And some abilties were just there when u were having excess gold. For eg, bladesingers and their 300 G upgrade giving 5 dmg and 20% speed.

I think running only the three Linirean free towers (Royal Archer, Paladin Covenant and Arcan Wizard) alone will be very fun alrdy

Bro rocket riders will do a lot of damage (and that insta kill 😮), but I don't see them as a barrack, even elite harasses where good at stalling enemies but rockets riders just do damage

I concur, the original Paladins seem superior. These new ones are probably even tankier, if their healing ability procs whenever they're about to die. But the Holy Strike was their coolest ability. Hopefully it'll be added as an innate chance, as it's the one thing both other appearances (KR1 and KRV) share.

@@Daavas I dunno, maybe it buffs all their armor, like the shield upgrade? The video seemed to imply that.

Why no third tower ability? Its because we have 2 heroes now or what, then not possible to do unique challenge
each tower has a passive so i guess that's replace the third upgrade
I think I’ve heard from tower livestream that people complain about abilities are too pricey, so they heard feedback and wanted to keep it simple of two abilities

Not to be downer but a lot of these towers seem kind of pointless and the fact that they only have 2 special upgrades is lame
Sadly there isn’t true damage in this game, i’d instantly go for the one which has true damage, but now i have to choose what’s best for my gameplay
I believe ironhide said the dwarf flamethrower does true damage by default.

looks cool and all but like 90% of these abilities are already in the game in some shape or form so I would have liked to see more originality. Even most of the towers themselves are just reskinned copy and pastes lol.

We'll see how it plays, but so far, it doesn't look too promising. It feels like KR clone that wasn't made by ironhide. All the new towers don't feel new at all, while the old ones are straight up downgraded from what they used to be.
