- This video shows the importance of "Rightly Dividing" (2 Tim. 2:15) the word of truth. The Bible is written TO us, but not all the Bible is FOR us, and in this Bible teaching video Bro. Robert Breaker shows the various different divisions in the Bible, and how we today are in the Church Age, and under the ministry of the Apostle Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles (Rom. 11:13). It is hoped you will learn much from this teaching and after watching it know how to RIGHTLY DIVIDE the word of God!

When I was a child I was raised Lutheran who obeyed the law and prayed for forgiveness when I broke it. My pastor more less preached the 10 commandments. I grew up lost my way, cursed God, and claimed to be an atheist. I really just wanted to believe in a spirituality without God’s law. As I studied witchcraft I found magick, from there I was lead down the road to demonology, this lead to angelology, which lead to the one who was given dominion over the angels. I tried to perform my own baptism ritual and twisted scripture so I could call sin virtue. It wasn’t until I started really studying the word did I start asking good questions. As I read the old testament all I heard was, “well isn’t this implying Jesus is coming?”. The more I saw the prophecies come true, the more I saw God spare wicked people, the more I saw God’s grace and love for his creation, the less I wanted to cast circles and read cards. Cheap oracle fortunes are nothing compared to the prophecy of the coming king, savior, messiah, and kingdom of heaven. Why waste time trying to interpret elements, numbers, and pictures? I could be reading the old testament and comparing prophecies. I could be studying the meaning of Jesus’s parables. If one deity is too boring, God is a trinity of man, creation, and spirit. The Father, The Son, and Holy Spirit. Psalms 1:1-2 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
Im leaving this message for brother Breaker. Because of you and the way you teach the bible, I have turned away from my sins and found the beauty in the word. I study the word not to boast about how much I know about scripture, but so when I die and when I go before God. That I need not be ashamed, for I have studied to show my workmanship, maybe he’ll see a confused person trying his best to rightly divide and live in faith. Today an atheist was convinced to believe in the mercy and power of Jesus, a women who claimed to hate God confessed that she loves God, but is grieving with the world. All because after watching your videos, after getting saved, the Holy Spirit was able to give me comfort and they wanted to know how I could be at peace in a time like this. Because of these videos, a sorcerer turned away from sin, an atheist turned towards God, and a lost child of God found her way back. 3 more may enter the kingdom of Heaven and I can thank God for that

God commands us to rightly DIVIDE the Holy Scriptures but to MULTIPLY the Holy Seed of Christ. So that we may bear much fruit unto God for the Harvest. If we produce Fruit of the Spirit, THERE IS NO LAW (Galatians 5:22-23). It means we are born again with the Kingdom of God WITHIN us.

What R the other verses that have the word 'Study' in them. I have searched the scriptures like a Berean and cannkt find the word 'Study' ANYWHERE except 2 Tim 2:16.
The word 'Study' is found in the King James Bible in the following verses:
1. Ecclesiastes 12:12
And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
2. 1 Thessalonians 4:11
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
3. 2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rightly dividing does not mean to split up. It was an idiom used by the English people of the day to handle correctly. The KJV is the only version that uses that phrase. This is an example of how reading Scripture with a 21st century mindset can throw you way off. I assume he is KJV only. There are many mistranslations in the KJV. All translations have some errors. It is best to use many translations and also a concordance or lexicon to get to what the Bible means.
So I am trying to understand this.
I believe that I am saved. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior long ago. I looked to the origins of this theology and it had Darby and a lot of other stuff in it.
The person who told me about this dispensationalism really emphasizes Paul, Paul, Paul, Paul. It's as if he is equal to Jesus.
God showed Paul these things. John was shown Revelation. Are we to only to focus on what Paul wrote ?
I have read the entire Bible. I have gained knowlege from old Testament and New.
I find it seperatist to consider that some are not going to heaven if they do not follow this theology.
I was tought that Acceptance and belief of Jesus Christ is what brings salvation. Not that If I don't devide I am doomed to hell.
I don't think that God's living word is to condemn born again believers in Jesus Christ purposely.

Go back to the 5 points of the gospel. Jesus died for our sins. He was buried, rose from the grave defeating death. All of this happened according to scripture. If you believe in your heart not just mind that Jesus died and shed his blood for you, and he’s your savior, then you are saved. The fruit of the spirit will be shown by default. Paul is not equal. Paul is not our savior merely a messenger trusted with the mystery. God used Moses to deliver his people but we don’t worship him. Paul was given the special mystery and that the doctrine we are to follow as the body of Christ Jesus. Remember that Jesus is 100 percent man and God at the same time. We worship only God the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. Parables of Jesus are lessons we should pay attention to, don’t be literal in but gain understanding in Jesus’s message. I hope this helps.
Also like to add that when Jesus was straight forward we should most definitely pay attention to Him especially when he was not speaking in parables. From my perspective Jesus and Paul did not contradict each other.
Another point, we are to FOLLOW Gods 10 commandments and the greatest is LOVE. By default if we love the way we are called to we will follow God’s commandments. We find rest in Jesus. That’s why Jesus made a point to work and do miracles on the Sabbath to show the Jews that “keeping to the law out of fear to the law” was not enough if you don’t have a heart of LOVE and reverence to God.

Before Jesus was crucified, throughout the Old Testament, people (mainly Jews I think)would kill a pure lamb as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of their sin.
But when Jesus was crucified, He 'saved' us from having to keep doing that.

Where in Hebrews does it talk about someone losing their salvation??

False and dangerous teachings. Do not be deceived. Now what are some of Paul's clear statements about the Ten Commandments? One such statement is found in I Corinthians 6:9-10. Paul warns: "BE NOT DECEIVED, neither fornicators, nor IDOLATERS nor ADULTERERS ... nor THIEVES nor COVETOUS nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
In this one short passage the Apostle Paul names the breaking of FOUR of the Ten Commandments - idolatry, adultery, stealing and coveting - and dogmatically states that any found guilty of breaking these commandments will not inherit God's Kingdom! And he sternly warns us not to deceive ourselves by thinking otherwise!
Notice another unmistakably clear and easy-to-understand passage: "Now the works of the flesh ... are these: ADULTERY, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, IDOLATRY ... wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, MURDERS, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD" (Gal. 5:19-21).
This passage repeats two commandments - those pertaining to adultery and idolatry - and adds one more - the command against MURDER.
This makes a total of FIVE commandments which Paul has specifically and unequivocally stated Christians must keep if they are to inherit or enter God's Kingdom. And since idolatry, which is mentioned in both of these passages, automatically breaks the first commandment, which is "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" (Ex 20:3), Paul has actually commanded obedience to six of the Ten Commandments in just TWO SHORT PASSAGES!
Now turn to Colossians 3:5-9. This passage reads: "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and COVETOUSNESS, which is IDOLATRY: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of DISOBEDIENCE ... But now ye also PUT OFF ALL THESE: anger, wrath, malice, BLASPHEMY, FILTHY COMMUNICATION OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. LIE NOT one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds."
This scripture names and CONDEMNS disobedience to TWO MORE of the Ten Commandments - BEARING FALSE WITNESS or LYING and TAKING GOD'S NAME IN VAIN through BLASPHEMY and FILTHY TALK. (See also Ephesians 4:29.)
Next open your Bible to Ephesians 6:1-2. Here we read, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. HONOUR THY FATHER AND MOTHER; which is the FIRST COMMANDMENT WITH PROMISE." This is a direct quote from the commandment in Exodus 20:12. Yet here Paul explicitly COMMANDS Christians to OBEY it!
This makes a total of NINE commandments which Paul has distinctly and separately named as being binding on Christians. Only the Sabbath command is left. Let's see what Paul taught about it.
Paul and the Fourth Commandment
Every argument imaginable has been advanced against the command to keep holy the day God made holy (Ex. 20:8). Some want to use time as they please. They don't want God telling them what to do! Some hate this command more than any other, it seems. It is the "test commandment" to show who God's people really are.
Did Paul obey this commandment? Did he personally keep the day God made holy - and did he teach others to obey it? Let's not just guess or assume. Let's examine the Scriptures and "prove all things."
In Acts 13 we have the account of Paul and Barnabas coming to Antioch in Pisidia. There they "went into the synagogue ON THE SABBATH DAY, and sat down. And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on" (Acts 13:14-15).
Then Paul stood up and spoke, preaching Christ to them. "And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the GENTILES besought that these words might be preached to them THE NEXT SABBATH" (verse 42)
Now since Paul was preaching "the GRACE of God" (verse 43), here was his opportunity to straighten out these Gentiles. Notice what Paul did.
"And the NEXT SABBATH DAY came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God" (verse 44). Here Paul waited a whole week in order to preach to the Gentiles upon the day God made holy!
But this is not the only passage showing that Paul obeyed this commandment.
In Acts 18:1-11 there is the account of Paul living with Aquila and Priscilla for one and one-half years (verse 11). During this time we read that he "reasoned in the synagogue EVERY SABBATH, and persuaded the Jews AND THE GREEKS" (verse 4).
Notice it! This New Testament passage tells us that Paul labored the six working days and taught in the synagogue EVERY SABBATH for ONE AND ONE-HALF YEARS!
Likewise in Acts 17:2, Paul "AS HIS MANNER WAS went in unto them, and three SABBATH DAYS reasoned with them out of the scriptures."
It was Paul's MANNER - his CUSTOM - to keep God's day holy. Did he follow Christ in this? Certainly! Jesus, "AS HIS CUSTOM WAS ... went into the synagogue ON THE SABBATH DAY" (Luke 4:16).
It was Christ's custom to keep the Sabbath. Paul followed Christ and he commands Christians: "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ" (I Cor. 11:1). Paul kept the fourth commandment and he commands Christians to follow him in this regard.
For a final clincher of this fact, turn to Hebrews 4:9. Here, according to the original inspired Greek, Paul makes the direct statement, "There remaineth therefore a sabbath observance to the people of God."
I follow no man in the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I see what you are saying, but It does not sit well in my spirit when you say we should follow Paul and not Jesus! Jesus Revealed the Mystery of Himself , that he is the Savior to Paul! I believe it is better said that We should follow the Gospel of Jesus which is His Death burial and Resurrection that he revealed to Paul, because Paul was persecuting Him. Jesus came preaching that the kingdom of Heaven was at hand. He came to seek and to save those that were lost. He had Twelve Disciples that he revealed himself to, and they all speak of the Gospel of Jesus Christ ..His Death Burial and Resurrection, and speak of Him personally because they were with Him. Paul was one Sent to the Gentile's so that The Gospel of Christ would be sent to the Gentiles , for the Whole world. ! My Faith and Eternal life is in Jesus Christ! I do listen to what you are teaching and but as with everyone that I listen to I have to have discernment and my own knowledge of the word of God and allow the Holy Spirit help me to rightly divide the word of truth and what is error from what people teach. My Biggest issue with this teaching is with the verbiage that you used when you say we should follow Paul and not Jesus. That is wrong! He was an Ambassador Of Christ. He was sent on behalf of Christ to Preach Christ! anytime someone Preaches ad teaches the Whole word of God they are preaching to turn people to Christ!

This is ever so important to becoming saved and walking by faith. He saying the Holy Spirit is speaking through Paul follow Paul because Paul follows Jesus.
Ashley, I think he's saying to follow Paul's teachings and the Gospel as revealed to him by Jesus..he's not saying to worship Paul as a saviour.
Dude you need a better argument than semantics. I came at this with an open mind and then read the New Testament for myself with questions. This rightly dividing message makes a lot of sense. It doesn’t answer every question, but you need to have a better argument if you want to disprove the message.

You almost make it sound like someone is still lost, even if they believe in the death, burial, and resurrection..A child does not have to know the complicated aspect of the blood, to be saved..Once you understand, you can not deny the blood, and it's importance for sure.. Many verses explain how to be saved. A person does have to understand sacrifice, and Jesus taking our place, for our sinfulness, and becoming sin for us..Paul wrote this, and you seem to be saying this is not enough; explain! Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Are you saying that no one can be saved, if they believe this verse, because it doesn't explain the blood..Don't try to scare someone into thinking there's not enough information, in this scripture to be saved.. Wow!

Great message brother but Paul was the Apostle to the gentiles why would he write a book to the "Hebrews"? Paul wrote only the books he said he did. 2Thess 3:17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write. And they all start with his name. He did not write Hebrews. There is so much more evidence in the book of Hebrews that points to the Jews not the Gentiles. Keep it up. Thank you Thank you Lord for right division.
What do you mean we can not loose our salvation at this time? Mrs a person can loose there whole soul by what God said and that sounds like loosing one,s salvation to me. And Jesus is God Son. God is the ALPHA and the OMEGA ,the BEGINNING and the END, the I AM THAT I AM. You keep calling Jesus God when we know he is God son. There for who ever believes in me, believes also in the one who sent me. What part of this are you not rightly dividing?
This teaching is based on Marcionism, its heresy!
I thank you for your teaching but I do think that you are getting it wrong. Rightly dividing does not mean that everything before Paul does not apply to us. That is reckless teaching. What Jesus said applies to us just as much as as what Paul taught. The Law still applies as well, but Grace covers our short comings. Hence the statement I come not to abolish the law but to fulfill it.
You make the mistake of believing that everything was like today and people had Bibles laying around. Towns typically had a scroll or 2 to go by which is why we see a letter to each town. But to think that what applied to Corinth did not apply to Ephesus is not accurate. We see this very clearly in Revelation where there are 7 churches each doing something right and generally something wrong.
To illustrate this better imagine that you have 3 children. You tell 1 not to bang on the table while you did not specifically tell the other 2 if they heard what was said it is assumed it applies to them as well. Unless of course common sense dictates that it does not. If one is an infant and another is a teen the same rules would not apply exactly though in principal they would.
If God is the same yesterday today and forever, it would stand to reason that the same basic rules apply. There are 2 1 Love the lord with all your heart with all your soul and with all your strength. And love your neighbor as yourself. If you apply these 2 all others fall under them.

false teaching or man-made agendas. And your excluding the 4 gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John from NT teaching is totally absurd. Go back and read 2 Timothy 2:15 carefully. Notice the verses says STUDY not dissect cut it up or separate it. Then it says so that we can be workman's not being ASHAMED.
Notice in verse 16 he says for us to avoid vain babbling (worthless talk) The he gives example of some who taught falsely that the resurrection had past. This clearly lets us know he was implying that we should divide truth from error. He was never implying that we should dissect it (cut it up) into sections. In Philippians 3:2 Paul warns us that we should beware of those who use concision (dissect or cut up the word)
As a person in the medical field. I do not dissect or separate the different systems and function of the human body. I divide by bringing myself to a rightful understanding of them. The respiratory system deals with the lungs and breathing functions of the body. The circulatory systems deals with the heart, veins, capillaries, and the circulation of the blood throughout the body. The digestive system is the deals with the stomach and intestines and the digestion of food etc. You do not divide the 5 systems from the body: You rightly divide by understanding there functions within the body. You do not separate the Old Covenant from the New. Christ completed the or may I say fulfilled the Old. That part you got right. But to separate Christ teaching from Paul's is absurd. Or to separate God's children by saying one group is Israel and the other is the Church is also absurd. I do not know where your theology come from but you need to send it back to wherever you got it. And start seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit.
So true. Other translations were correct in saying "rightly handling" instead of "dividing". Paul's ministry was centered on revealing through scripture (law and prophets) that Jesus was the promised Messiah to both Jew and Gentile. The church was constantly under attack from the Jews to denounce the fact that Jesus was the Messiah, they were the enemy of the gospel according to Romans 11. The only word of truth that Paul and Timothy had available to them at that time would have been the old testament, and it is not divided. Even Paul said not to call yourself a follower of Paul or Apollos. Both were teaching the gospel and were followers of Christ, to follow a man would be to follow a lesser light.

Rightly dividing the word of truth in 2 Tim 2:15 is dividing truth for truth. All of God's word is truth. But we need to divide the truth that is for us from the truth that is not to us. All scripture is for us and is profitable but not all scripture is to us for our doctrine to live by. Unless you still kill lambs for your sin sacrifice or have built an Ark in your back yard? Truth from truth is the only way to understand God's perfect word.

That Jesus movement you poorly described by stating it was a bunch of long hair , dope smoking people who said they only were going to follow Christ, man.. turned out to be about a 20 yr movement that had tons of people saved. Those people gave up smoking, cut their hair and gave up their albums to follow Christ. And Your rightly dividing the bible leaves out where Jesus says"if you love me then keep my commandments" so what were his commandments? They are ALSO in the Old Testament. Stating only segments of the bible of relevant for current day believers leaves out the fact Jesus was in the beginning- ( see Genesis)which is also Old Testament. Anyway, it was sad to hear you disrespect the Jesus Movement as you did and possible painting a false idea of it in other people's minds --- David Wilkerson's ministry came out of that Movement among several others..
