Honestly, I think it's best to leave the settings decisions up to the lobby (and realistically, that means DumbDog as the host). It's their choice whether to add roles, take advantage of mod options, or switch up things that aren't working. They are just playing for fun at this point and DumbDog's stated policy is, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
It feels weird to say it, but I think Baycon is now a more perceptive crew than 5up. It's not just that 5up is so off the mark, but that he's so confident about it. Baycon is rapidly improving in his understanding of the game akin to Koji when he first started in the lobby. Not hating, I understand he's not playing so sweaty in this lobby, and it's quite a source of entertainment, yet it's so baffling when thinking of the "not washed" 5up era.

I used to like the "play along with Steve" type videos so I could see if I could figure out the imposters. (Or I guess I could simply watch 5ups stream to see if I come to the same conclusion. )
Yeah, I remember when Among us started to be a thing 5up was the Goat, and maybe he still is in Vanilla but not Morning lobbies, maybe he plays more relaxed, or don't care too much about modded, I don't know. But I also want to say that sometimes viewers (at least here) are so harsh on him and doesn't seem fair to me. For example, if 5up throws a game everyone complains but if Steve throws, everyone laughs and think is funny.

Yeah 5up definitely got a lot worse somehow. I definitely used to have him near the top with hafu and dumbdog. But in the last year he just seems to be consistently wrong.

One in a million chance tho.
2:35 bruuu we knooow I personally find it more fun when crewmates can hard clear each other with scanner, it's like one of the only rushes of dopamine you can get as crewmate, being able to hard clear someone. plus it isn't even a hard clear for the whole game cause they could be amnesiac, and that interaction is the best one amnesiacs can have
Parallel Medscans take away from Amnesiac being hard cleared and then picking up a bad role later. Id be ok with Parallel Medscans in other lobbies, but not this one. It already skews to the Impostor.
I think as a whole enabling Parallel Medscans buffs Impostors - Buff: stops MedBay hard clears which happens in a lot of games - Nerf: stops the super rare Amnesiac picks up evil killer role hard clear Crew win 50% of all games, impostors around 20% of the time in the morning lobby, so up to the audience if that means “Morning Lobby skews to the Impostor”

They made a house rule to prevent excessive medbay clears, so that helped nerf it. But I guess it still does accidentally happen from time to time when everyone clumps to medbay. Though, I like the medbay clear because it's one of the only ways a vanilla crew can for sure know another person is good. It's usually only 1 person that has that info and most of the time either they or the person they cleared dies anyway. Even in this game, Janet and aipha were still arguing a bit at the end despite them medscanning together

Either way, this could probably be solved by adding a two-second delay to the remember action.
theres nothing wrong with 1-2 hardclears by med bay. Crew should have clues too and not just always rely on process of elimitation by location assuming.

I don't think its as big of an issue as some make it out to be you just cant leave two people who cleared each other in the final 4 like what happened. I always feel like medbay scan clears should put a MASSIVE target on someone's back. If we're gonna pick it apart a bit than you just cant leave hard clears alive. Worst case scenario you have two crew who are hard cleared for the rest of the game or even worse case you get an amnesiac into bad role whos hard cleared and will never be voted out over you like what DumbDog did with Janet in the past.

I wish there was an option/way to let the person who you medic shielded know they were attacked. Not anything instantly, maybe you could press some button and they would know when the meeting is over or next meeting even.
As much as i support parallel medbay scans, i also think that in a game with so many complex roles a hard clear is nice every once in a while. I don't like optimal right side players all bunching up on medbay immediately though. I am really a fan of vitals in labs though, that spreads out the three check-in mechanics properly.
hell no, stop pushing to nerf this lobby's ability to deduce things. they already have enough trolling and people who act like logical bonk-bonks (aka comedic relief) more than half the time. it's fine to let SOME things be deducible. they already only have like 45-50% understanding of the roles as it is...at best. they need SOME way to concretely know something from time to time. plus, they cleared each other way early on, and so they then become targets for all other rounds. plenty of counterplay options. not to mention steve could've easily killed and if he did, Aipha would've had to speak for Janet on his own behalf in the last round and lost credibility, since people have such short-term memories and are so prone to being gaslit by good RP in later rounds anyway. impostors could've easily killed Janet too. I say stop pushing to nerf everything before they even properly learn the roles and associated tells / counterplay solidly. there are so many strategies to outplay or RP it that are possible if they would commit to learning them instead of resorting to balance whine. it'll be just fine.

Why would hard vouching for Ovilee be enough for Aipha to vote Junk instead of the clear killer? He knows for a fact it can't be Junk since he was at the reactor when he found Steve's body. If Junk did that he would be throwing the game for impostor to win, because Ovilee would easily realize he's jester and guess him, OR she would vote for Aipha, make it a tie, call reactor and win anyways.
DumbDog should honestly just add Survivor as a permanent role. It comes up so often nowadays. Also, I like how Bait still hasn't given up on parallel medbay scans even though DumbDog will never turn on that setting.
Survivor's kit and win condition is kind of lame though... They have blanks, and all they have to do is to be alive when the game ends. It's better to have it as a rare role that nobody takes seriously.

it doesn't work like that. your potential situation is based on the assumption that EVERY person will actually skip, but half of the crew aren't actually Crew roles. there's nothing that's stopping Impostors from voting someone else to throw that plan, Jester from voting themself, Exe from voting their target. that plan had never EVER worked.
Not like he would’ve won. He had zero sus and even if he somehow managed to get sussed, janet and aipha had already voted kinda early on so it wouldn’t matter

This is pretty easily mitigated by the other imposters imo. They just place a single vote onto someone else, and now there's multiple votes on others.
