I love this coverage...truly Uganda is a multi-cultural nation blended and intertwined to produce amazing scenes on religious grounds. Well done Gulu Archdiocese- you made us proud.
Thank you for reminding us of the beautiful singing last year especially this year where we need prayers more than ever. We just opened a youtube channel to help in Live streaming of Holy Mass every Day during this Corona Virus epidemic that Catholics are unable to attend Church, we felt we should take the Church to their homes using Technology.
That was A Great event. ....... Meanwhile l Hope all those young children und the Youth are given a Chance of education and chance to have a good living. There is alot of unfareness in the socities. Leaders see to it that all poeple are given the chance. Before God we are all the same. Many ugandans are losing blood in the name of who are making Money.e.g those going to work in the arab countries. There must be a day for those who are suffering and those who die and have no graves.
I visited Namugongo 30 years ago , there were not more than 5 tourists including me( I was the only African the others were European expats) visiting the shrine that day.. We were told that, the 31st Kabaka (King Mwanga II of Buganda,) was a homosexual man, he ordered the pages to be burnt alive after the humiliation he received from the (male) pages of his harem when they resisted his sexual advances, they refused because of their new faith when the missionaries brought Christian (Muzungu's) religion to Uganda. Before the white missionaries brought Christianity to Uganda, homosexuality was openly practised by the The Gay King of the Buganda. Today many Africans and their governments argue that homosexuality is a foreign import from the West, that, the practice is “un-African”. Yet, homosexuality existed in African societies and belief systems before Western colonization.
