Okay, my key takeaways from thjs video Masya Allah: 1. Doing dakwah - dont think for one minute that youre doing Islam a favour 2. Dont be weak in dakwah just becoz you dont see results - leave the outcome to Allah, protect your intention 3. Dont do dakwah expecting more in return - do it for Allah’s sake not followers not influence not material gains 4. Dont water down dakwah just to get favours in return 5. Dont expect special treatment or gets used to special treatment when doing dakwah
Same with me.. There was a time where i used to watch his khutbas everyday..., bt off late i haven't watched much... His lectures are like oxygen to me... In sha Allah i will start watching his vdos again❤
Why worry about anything or anyone when you have Allah with you? “If Allah helps you, none can overcome you. If He forsakes you, who is there, after that, that can help you? In Allah, then, let believers put their trust.” [Al ‘Imran: 160]
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan and Omar Suleiman are my present favourites to listen to. Very deep and locked into the Qur'an, hadith, sunnah, Arabic language nuance, and history. May Allah reward them for their efforts and devotion.
The truth is from Allah so never ever doubt about it came from Allah , Al-Bakarah 147 .don't be like the Nasrani worshipping Jesus. The massage is to praise Allah and only Allah deserves all praises.we said it just before we end our salah ever time.
I remember one day i had a vision or رؤية about you mr. Noumaan and when i told you on Facebook i was so excited to share it with you but then when the response was "k" i got shocked and i remember that i felt distant as if i should have not opened my mouth. I even started to shut-off your lessons, but الحمدلله i came back learning from the Quran with you. And I wish i could one day tell you about my story and how your video have changed my life, and the visions i had about you that some of them actually happened in real life. I might meet in this world, i might not. But I HOPE I'll meet you in the next world ISA.
In my experience, having that "I'm not important" mindset is one of the best ways to prevent ourselves from doing unnecessary da'wah which will only escalate our ego.
Ustadh mentioned, and I agree, dawah should be approached with the same mindset as salah. It's benefitting you first of all. And you do it for the sake of Allah. Not everyone is blessed with the same level of understanding, knowledge and wisdom. Or the ability to articulate it. Daoud and Sulayman alayhima salam thanked Allah for being favoured over other believers. They recognized it could have been any other good believer in their place. And they recognized that it's not their own doing. It was Allahs' choice to grant them the highest level of understanding in their era, and the ability/power to teach and pass on the knowlegde, in order to make their society collectively practice it. All for a better world, for the sake of Allah. You recognize the ni'ma, thank Allah for it, and take responsibility to do the job Allah has favored you with. And to do it to the best of your ability, I think a sense of importance is necessary. Because unimportance leads to indifference which will lead to a laid back attitude. But that's my view. "I'm not important" feels negative, as if looking down upon Allahs ni'ma.
I want to add, not being granted the same ni'am is also a ni'ma and mercy from Allah. Imagine having a talent and not using it. All of us will be questioned, did we take our responsibility correctly and did we use Allahs ni'am the best we can for His sake? Not being knowledgeable takes away responsibility of your shoulder. Which means on the day of judgment we will be in the most favorable conditions, to each what fits within his abilities. Allah knows what kind of responsebility we can and can't pull off.
Feeling overwhelmed or weighed down? Take a moment to reflect on these ayahs. This dunya, your struggles, and even you are all temporary. Hardships are part of life, but with sabr, you’ll get through them. One dip in Jannah will make you forget every pain. So, hold on to sabr and shukr, and keep going!
Surah al-muddaththir is well worth reading or listening to after this. The verses are short and concise so it's easy to go through them at a good pace.
