Sakesar is the highest point of Soan Valley. It’s height is 1550 Metres from sea level and has a very pleasant weather. The quality that makes it unique is that you can see the plains of Indus River from here as far as the eye can see. The Namal Lake and the Chashma Barrage Lake are clearly visible from here. Moreover you can escape the very hot and humid weather in Mainwali / surrounding and climb 🧗♀️ it in half an hour to enter a very pleasant weather. It receives snow fall in winters which is hard to believe keeping in view its proximity to one of the most hottest areas of Pakistan 🇵🇰. There is a PAF Base here which they have neatly maintained with beautiful tall trees 🌲 🌳. PAF Base has a lovely Coffee Shop named as Maple Leaf 🍁 Cafe. The thing that make this cafe unique is that you cannot find any other Cafe in its radius of few hundred kilometres. Cherished memories, I lived there from 1986 to 1988. It was a beautiful time which will never fade away from my memory.
Memories ..lived there from 2000 to 2003 ..nothing changed
at least they have added this cafe :)

Is permission required to reach this place ? From uchali ?
If you want to enter the base, only then you require permission. Otherwise this road further leads to Mianwali-Talgang Road in Namal Lake area and the Guard at Uchhali will just check your credentials and let you move ahead. If you just want to travel on this road, then it is not required, you just have to tell the sentry at the gate about your purpose of travel
